While Warwick has been recovering from his surgery we have been grateful to have Christine Tipper on board so we can keep giving the best equine dentistry treatments to our clients horses.

Trained by Warwick, Christine has done further training and more recently worked with Warwick so we know our clients horses are in good hands.

Its very easy to pick up habits when working alone and initial training is not enough. When running the NZ Equine Dentistry School we always encouraged our students to do further training and attend association conferences to ensure they stay on the right track and continue to up skill.

Many of you will already have heard that Warwick is currently in hospital waiting for open heart surgery. His recovery is going to take some time and therefore he wont be doing any dentistry for the next few months.

But Warwick Behrns Equine Dentistry NZ is still open for business. We have a fill in dentist that can cover most areas. Trained by Warwick, our clients will be in good hands and this is the only person at this stage that we recommend our clients to use.

Bookings can still be made through our office either by email or through our website. Please be patient with me for replies to emails right now as I navigate looking after a full plate. Unlike some other dentists Warwick only does dentistry meaning it is our main source of income so please know that you are helping us by booking with our fill in dentist or where you can waiting for Warwick.

It has been a tough few years with Covid and we were hoping for a better start to 2023 but Warwick will be back with reinforced energy and we appreciate all our loyal clients and all the wonderful messages that have been flowing in.

Today Warwick treated the first of the Kaimanawa horses from the 2021 muster that are under the training of Kelly Wilson.

Maple, one of my clients horses from my Wild Kaimanawa Workshop, has had her teeth done by the legendary Warwick Behrns and has been aged at 2-years. She's already over 14.2hh so will be a hack once she's fully grown! In total four of the Kaimanawa mares had their teeth done today, and Bazooka was also checked but since she’s a yearling and has good teeth she didn’t need doing.

You won’t miss seeing Warwick coming now. Love the new sign writing on his car.
