Team has been laying this beautiful garapa hardwood decking this week. It’s been cold but we’ve been getting it done. Boards have been all oiled as well to prevent future issues. Cutek cd-50 on the boards and on our hands. Thanks team.

Renovation project is coming along nicely. Basically ready for preline inspection. Looking forward to this job getting a big push after long weekend with some gib board going up. Looking forward a bit of time out with the family and rest. But also seeing this one get a big push afterwards.

Deck posts are all concreted in. Getting ready to push on with the beam install above. And the timber joists install. Nothing like a nice tidy site as well. Once the concrete has had a few days to cure we’ll push on. We also went above what is required and coated our H5 glulam posts with a coat of bitumen waterproofing. Just helps to protect the timber posts with a bit more from moisture in the future. If you want your builder to go above and beyond, give Rob a call today.

This maintenance job has come to an end. And it has definitely been transformed. Cladding has been restored and so has the roof. Also some work on certain exterior details to make sure the cladding is meeting modern requirements. And yes that red is as bright as it looks in the photos. Definitely not going to miss those on a sunny day or a cloudy day…..bright as. But at least the owner is happy and so are the team to bring this one up to a good standard for years to come.

Anyone call for a new deck?……. Well here we go. The team is on the job to turn this old deck into some beautiful and functional. Looking forward to this one coming together. Watch this space. Barrow builders are going to get into this one. And make it into a piece of deck art. Foundation needs to be addressed, steel beams preserved and reused, and a beautiful hardwood decking board with a aluminium handrail with glass. Keep an eye out for it and the progress. Here is a before and after photo of our remedial makeover job in Westshore. Not sure what the original roofer here was thinking?……… very rough. But we have been able to tidy up this cap flashing junction with some tidy workmanship. This was one of many junctions that needed addressing. Nice and tidy before it has been painted to last many years to come. Get in touch if you need professional advice.

Our Westshore job is coming along nicely. We’ve carried some very necessary maintenance up on the second level roof. The painter has done an amazing job on the roof and spouting. Looks all like brand new. He has also been able to bring the second level cladding up to a new quality standard with 3 good coats of specialised paint system designed for this type of plaster cladding. Big thanks to d’Angelo painters for you efforts so far. Even with all the wind, but also the tempting views which makes you want to go out for a fish. But none the less progress will happen. Top scaffolding comes down tomorrow by rocket scaffolding and we push on with the lower level. Where we will again have some carpentry jobs to sort out. Watch this space. Just a small just we completed a while back. The requirement from the client was a small Butlers pantry for some out of sight storage in a lovely family home. We created the pantry to mix in with the existing interior. Tied in the best we could with the floor boards for cost efficiency. We had to create a floor hatch as there was nothing to this subfloor area. So we created a custom hatch with metal trims for tidiness but also for longevity. With a bifold door so it can be easily accessed. We were happy with the result and so was the client. Wins all round. Get in touch if we can help to create custom carpentry work in your home.

Here’s a new project we are making a start on. Scaffold ups and ready to make a start on. Sun’s out so the gun’s are out. Just a general facelift and some general maintenance work for this one. Cladding has been completed on our havelock north renovation. All ready for a paint!!. It’s hard to think this was two existing garages converted to living areas with a small shower room and toilet. Will be such a useful space for the homeowners. Stocked to be part of it and hoping to get gib board up pretty soon so the inside can start moving ahead.
