Quite possibly the chillest, most easy going wedding I’ve had the pleasure to be part of! A perfect day to say the least. Ella and Cody did an incredible job of organising such a seamless day, from their first look followed by a beach ceremony, to canapés and buffet dinner. Honestly such a breeze to work with these two and so stoked the weather played ball and the vibes were high for this one!

35mm film of Alescia and Jordan’s beach wedding at Spencer Park 🎞️🤍

I was so honoured when my beautiful childhood friend Alescia asked me to capture her and Jordy’s wedding day last weekend. It was so special for me to be part of this day as Alescia and I share so many memories from growing up together. I was quietly crying at Jordan’s decision to tattoo his wedding ring and the letter ‘A’ for Alescia on his ring finger 🥹

I love being able to capture weddings in Christchurch, the town that I called home for 18 years. Canterbury (especially the coast!) holds a special place in my heart and always will. Thanking all the amazing couples that have asked me to photograph their wedding day down in ChCh 🥂

Laura and Josh opted for intimacy over tradition, sharing a first look before the ceremony instead of down the aisle. Despite the rain, the day unfolded beautifully against the moody skies and sandy dunes. Here are some highlights from the rest of the day 💍

More couples are leaning towards this trend, opting to take bridal photos before the ceremony, then sneaking out of the reception before sunset for some stunning shots during golden hour. The perks of doing it this way around include spending more time with your guests right after the ceremony and getting the bulk of formal photos out of the way earlier in the day, so you can relax a little. 🥂

Some highlights from Georgia & Andy’s gorgeous day at Bushmere Arms. Always a pleasure to photograph for friendly faces in the Wainui community 🥰

The bridal party got ready at Wainui beach just a few houses down from each other, so the morning was super fun being able to walk between both locations to capture the excitement. We made a quick drive up to Hexton for some photos in the vines before spending the arvo in the gardens at Bushmere. One of the most stunning spots in Gizzy 💐
