CJM'S Events Limited Partners with Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust to Support Local Communities

In an exciting new collaboration, CJM'S Events Limited is proud to announce its partnership with the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust, bringing together community spirit and the passion for physical activity to support a noble cause. This partnership aims to leverage the collective strengths of both organisations to make a significant impact on the communities they serve.

As part of this collaboration, CJM'S Events Limited is introducing an innovative way for participants to contribute to the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust through its event entries. Starting immediately, individuals entering any CJM'S Events Limited's events will have the option to donate directly to the Trust, providing much-needed support for its invaluable services, the Canterbury Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the West Coast ROA Mining Rescue Helicopter. In 2023 the rescue helicopters responded to 991 missions.

Highlighting the partnership, CJM'S Events Limited is also launching a special virtual run for the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust. This virtual event will be hosted on the renowned virtual running platform, Run NZ Run, in August, coinciding with the South Island Half Marathon at Lake Hood. Participants will have the unique opportunity to purchase a memorabilia medal as a keepsake of their contribution and effort. Moreover, those who go the extra mile and raise over $100 for the Trust will be honoured with a separate, exclusive thank you medal, acknowledging their outstanding support.

In celebration of this partnership and to spark excitement among the community, CJM'S Events Limited is introducing a thrilling challenge at the South Island Half Marathon. The company has announced a generous giveaway of $5,000, tied to a mystery time challenge. The participant who crosses the finish line with a time — down to the second — matching the pre-determined mystery time, ranging between 1 hour and 4 hours, will be awarded a grand prize of $5,000. This innovative approach not only adds an element of fun and anticipation to the event but also demonstrates CJM'S Events Limited's commitment to giving back to the community in creative ways.

Both CJM'S Events Limited and the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust are excited about the potential of this partnership to foster community engagement. The Westpac and ROA Mining Rescue Helicopter crews are enthusiastically preparing for their involvement in the challenges, both physical and virtual, to help promote healthy lifestyles and, most importantly, to support the Trust's critical work. Our 4-6 year olds will tackle a 600m course (with an adult by their side), while the 7-13 year olds will experience 1500-2,000m on their own.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Family Run: Bond in the mud in our family-friendly run, covering approximately 3,000m. Choose to complete one lap or two, at your own pace, in this event.
👫Adults Race: Dive into a 5km challenge, dotted with 30-40 thrilling obstacles, including 11 mud pits.
Run, Walk, Crawl individually or team up in groups of three for an unforgettable experience.
