A massive congratulations to Adam Baillie (Carpentry/Building Academy 2020 - 2021) who has been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Deaf Lawn Bowls Championships in Scotland.
From the 1st to 14th September 2023 the NZ Deaf Lawn Bowls team will be heading to Edinburgh Scotland to play in the 9th International Deaf Bowls Championships. The team will consist of 12 men & women all hand selected through trials (held in New Plymouth October 2022) to travel to Scotland.
Congratulations Adam! We wish you and your team all the very best for the Championship and look forward to hearing from you when you return.

CSA Keeping Active Lockdown Challenge
Join the College Sport Auckland Keeping Active Challenge.
This is a participation-based competition to help students and staff keep active, stay connected, and engage in some friendly competition between schools while we are in lockdown.
The Keeping Active Challenge will run from Monday 30 August – Friday 6 September. Each day we will post a daily challenge for you to complete to contribute to your school’s points total. You will need to upload proof of you completing the challenge by uploading a photo or video with each entry. Note, all challenges must be completed at home while we are in Alert Level 4.
We will update the school leader board regularly and announce the final placings on Tuesday 7 September.

Rules:
1. All entrants participate at their own risk and agree to complete daily challenges as safely as possible and strictly adhere to all Government regulations.
2. All daily challenges must be complete at home (either inside or in your front/back yard) and within your bubble.
3. Challenges must be submitted between Monday 30 August – Friday 3 September. Each entry must be recorded the same day as that day’s daily challenge and submitted before midnight.
4. Only one entry will be accepted per person per day.
5. Each entry must include a photo or video of the challenge being completed.
6. Total points for each school will be divided by the school roll number (based on the Ministry of Education data).
7. All entrants must be either a year 7 - 13 student at a College Sport Auckland member school, or a staff member who is currently employed by a College Sport Auckland member school.

Sports Winter Tournament Week Update 20/8/21

All codes NO TRAININGS NO GAMES
School Sport NZ, in conjunction with its sport partners, regretfully announce the cancellation of all sanctioned events on its calendar through to Monday 6th September 2021. This includes all events scheduled within the Winter Tournament Week window.
School Sport NZ will review the viability of future events on the School Sport NZ calendar on Wednesday 1st September, or as appropriate with changes to alert level protocols.
Please note our seasonal Sport have been postponed for now we will update you with what will affect our students directly

We were lucky enough to have a couple of the Northern Mystics players Sulu Fitzpatrick and Fa’amu Ioane come in and meet with our Premier Netball and 9A teams
The girls got to learn a few drills and ask questions, big shout out to Mrs Soons for getting this off the ground for our students !!
A few of our MHS Rugby captains were invited to meet and greet with a couple of the All Blacks Tyrel Lomax and Angus Ta'avao thanks nz rugby for giving our students this opportunity
