Last week I had the privilege of being on a WIFT panel 'Locking the Reel Deel:Mastering Festival Tactics and Marketing Must-haves'.
It was facilitated by the awesome Alex Reed with fellow panellists, Jasmin McSweeney (Head of Sales and Acquisitions for New Zealand, Umbrella Entertainment) and Jill Macnab (General Manager, Vendetta Films). It was great to speak alongside these legends.
It was an awesome night and an opportunity to acknowledge someone in the audience - Orlando Stewart. O generously gave me his time when I first started out as a producer. I really appreciate you Orlando and would like to thank you for being so patient and kind and for sharing your knowledge with me. You're amazing and I can't wait to see your next film.
Congrats to the team at Firefly Films NZ for the NZ Premiere of Bookworm this week. Well done to the Director, Ant Timpson and Producers, Bull, Slade and Victoria Bull. Get out and support NZ films and this hugely talented team.
