Hi Folks, some sad news from the committee. We are unable to run the Blueberry in February. However, do watch this space for the possibility of a free linked event in January ....

Here’s what you need to know:

☀️ Weather is looking good so please prepare for sunshine and bring water as there are no aid stations on the course.

🪑 Bring a chair or picnic blanket so you can sit and enjoy the free sausage sizzle whilst we announce the spot prizes.

🎁 Prize giving is at 10:30am. We’ve got some awesome spot prizes which are kindly donated by Trek 'n' Travel and Shoe Clinic. Please note if your name is called out and you aren’t there we will redraw.

🍽️ Our amazing hosts at Glenview Club will be open for brunch until 11am or lunch afterwards. That’s where many of us will be after the event if you wish to join.

I want to thank ALL for a successful BLUEBERRY FUN RUN last Sunday.
Firstly the very small team of 20 members who multi-tasked everywhere from course setup, marshaling, car parking, registration, pies, first-aid, photos and way more. Many aspects went better the previous (only minor glitches)
Secondly the 275 people who entered and certainly looked like you were having a good time. This was all about YOU after all. And this was a FUN RUN AND WALK.
Third our sponsors. Blueberry Country, Lone Star Hamilton, Trek n Travel, Shoe Clinic, Oxford Pies. YOU ARE AWSOME.
This was a major fundraiser for our small 45yo club and will help us survive. if you enjoyed yourself and all our cheery helpers come and join us at Ruakura Club Sundays at 8.00 Tuesdays at 5.30. park at Innovation Park. We cater for all ages and speeds and distances.

Thanks Folks! You turned up and the rain didn't (almost) and we had a great event. Thank you very much to all of you who came along.

From the MetService information it looks like tomorrow morning will be grey and there may be showers as the morning goes on. But we will be done before the nasty weather arrives.

Blueberry Fun Run/Walk in Ohaupo The Blueberry Fun Run and Walk on Saturday, 19 February includes a 15km, 10km and 5km distance.

With further reference to RTB, we have to be fair here. Unfortunately there were delays getting our date on the running calendar - we could only finalise it 2 weeks ago. We imagine at that stage RTB had already sorted their plan B and there is A LOT for them to do regarding sponsors and road closures etc. So it's what it is and no thanks to Covid. Previous rant was in frustration - sorry!
New date for Blueberry coming soon - yay

The 42nd Blueberry fun run from Ohaupo organised by Hamilton Marathon Clinic as a key fundraiser had 13 February 2022 locked in some time ago on the running calendar. Round the Bridges have now shifted to this date and we have asked them to reconsider - No.
We have to shift to later which is not favorable to sponsors.
We asked can we promote our event at RTB - the answer is NO.
Please look out for Summer Series facebook or Blueberry Fun Run in the near future for more detail - it will happen.... when we can get it organised
