π€ REGISTERED ASSOCIATION //
Iron Duke Sea Scouts
Iron Duke Sea Scouts are New Zealand's oldest Sea Scout Group, established in Nelson in 1921.
In 2018 we won the Jellicoe Silver Trident, Sea Scouts top prize for the best Group in the country, at our Sea Scouts tri-annual National Regatta. Seven years and two Covid delays later we are off to defend our hold on the Trident at the 29th National Regatta at Onepoto Inlet, Porirua, in January 2025. We race fevas, cutters and sunbursts. We also row cutters, swim and kayak for competitions, and stand up paddle board just for fun!
Please support our group to get to Porirua and compete for the Trident. Thank you.

π« REGISTERED TEAM //
2024 NZIODA Asians Team
We are a team of 3 boys, all 12 years old, who have been selected to represent NZ at the Asian and Oceanian Championships in India in November.
This is a huge achievement to be able to represent our country and compete against some of the worlds best Optimist sailors.
We do not receive any funding for this trip, we will need to attend training camps, pay for coaching and then pay costs associated with travel and entering.
We would love and appreciate your support to help us achieve our dreams!
Many thanks,
Theo, Harry and Jeffrey

Young 88
The success of the Young 88 keel boat is down to Jim Young's fantastic design offering a fast and safe racer / cruiser coupled with Roger Land's innovative boat building and marketing.
Over 150 boats have been built since the 80s with active racing fleets in many Australian and New Zealand sailing centres.
A strong owners' association perpetuates this success, managing an annual program of racing and social events and a tightly controlled set of one design rules. This keeps the boats on the same playing field, affordable fun and safe.
