It’s been a massive task changing from the multiple pitched roofs to this sleek and modern mono pitch design.
Can’t help but feel like the R8.2 ceiling insulation is a little overkill mind.

It’s been a big job but the team has successfully removed the roof tile and structure managing to leave ceilings and rondo in place. We’re ready to transform the shape of this building brining it into some modern design.

Fantastic job by DSG site safe for thee scaffolding and wrap. We’re ready to go!

I love being able to see structure. Even more impressive when it was built in 1719. This is my grandparents old farm house. Looking at the techniques from bygone years. Stone walls, thatched roofs and oak beams. Puts our current 50 year durability to shame!

Whilst back in the UK I stubbled upon a newly built traditional oak structure. All pieces numbered with Roman numerals. I was excited.

Another beachfront job to start this week, living the dream here in the bay.

Getting to the business end of things at Mike’s two story build. Time to lock in the finishes. A big day of choices has led us to what will be an awesome natural finish.

Just the last few touch’s to the cladding to go before preline inspection on Monday. Cheers to the lads for the big push.

Thank you so much to our awesome client for brining hot coffees for the boys today while we pushed through in the rain. True legend. Let’s hope for a dry day tomorrow to get some frames stood!

I got a very special site visit today, introducing my future apprentice to what dad does!

Frames away at the Ward residence on Maranui street. I’m back on the tools for this one and the boys have put in a fantastic effort today to get these stood.

It was a tight fit but today we got our frames. I also got puppy cuddles en route!

It’s with a very heavy heart I have to announce that our original site dog Gypsy went for a forever sleep this week. She was my best mate, a champion and an absolute legend amongst us all here. She touched many hearts and will live on in mine. Sleep tight my sweetheart. RIP Gypsy. # # #

Really starting to take shape over in Pyes Pa. Steel is complete and trusses stood.
