Thank you to our Hutchinson’s customers who have generously supported us in raising money for Cranford Hospice with our ongoing Gift Wrapping initiative.

As many of you know, Cranford Hospice is an organisation that is close to our hearts and something we are proud to be supporting.

This week we visited the team at Cranford to express our gratitude for the work they do within our community. We also shared the news that we have raised $1600 from Gift Wrapping in less than a year of starting the initiative.

Could it be?? Spotted! Is that who we think it is looking at the Christmas decorations in Hutchinson's - Flooring Furniture Interior Design?? Could Robbie Williams be in Hastings already?

It's a process! In fact its the most advanced painting line in the world.

A 22 stage process from degreasing, rinsing, anti-corrosion treatment, drying, powdering, firing and on it goes. Each product travels through 220 linear meters to be transformed from it's raw metal state to a beautiful, colourful piece of Fermob furniture!

One of the last stages is inspection 🔎- take a look under your furniture, every piece has a little sticker that is unique to the person who inspected your furniture.

And then it's into a box and off to one of the 45 countries around the world that Fermob delivers to!

Create a casual yet refined look with the natural texture of our Karaka floor rug. Crafted from 100% wool, each rug has been carefully woven by skilled artisans in a tight, alternating loop width design. The natural bracken tone creates a cosy interior that is easy to pair with other warm neutrals.

“The flooring had to be practical, light in tone and a solution that could run seamlessly through the home, including in the kitchen, to create an open, spacious, and cohesive feel. We’ve found Quick-Step Majestic to be ridiculously forgiving of mud and dirt, always cleaning up so well!

It’s also standing the test of time brilliantly against dog claws, toys, dropped items, the kids bikes and even our little lambs who wander in. Since moving in, we’ve hired our home out for shoot days with filming, lighting, and photography equipment. Furniture is inevitably moved around. You name it, the floor has withstood it! For these same practical reasons, we kept the carpet confined to the bedrooms which don’t see nearly as much action as the main living spaces. This afforded us the ability to opt for Bremworth Lattice textured wool carpet in the light tone of Weathered Grey” says homeowner Sophie from .

Hand-braided from a wool and viscose blend, the Tairua is perfect for defining an area or anchoring key furniture pieces. Understated and inviting, the subtly mottled yarn in forest shades brings an element of nature inside.

Luxury vinyl tiles or planks, more commonly referred to as LVT, replicate timber, tile and stone looks by using advanced technologies. A photographic image is printed onto PVC and coated with protective layers, making it highly resistant to scratches and scuffs.

As this product comes in singular tiles or planks, it is easy to uplift and replace should damage occur, giving it a distinct advantage over traditional sheet vinyl. LVT is an easy product to use in existing homes as you won't need to remove skirting boards or kitchen kickboards to install this floor.

When they began planning the home’s transformation, Annika and Brad sought a light and airy feel with a nod to the Art Deco era of the home. “It was important that our home felt natural and inviting,” says Annika. “The large ceiling roses and wall panelling throughout the house make the home feel traditional and solid.” A simple palette of white walls and dark steel accents allows the ultra-modern kitchen design to shine. The low maintenance flooring, replicating a herringbone look by way of a LVT (luxury vinyl tile/plank), offers added opulence without the price tag.
