RIP Patrick Adams producer/arranger/composer/engineer extraordinaire. He was involved with so many defining records from the disco era and beyond - he even engineered the Eric B and Rakim album Follow the Leader in 1988! Huge personal favourite and his productions all have a ‘sound’ that’s indelibly part of the fabric of the music we all love ❤️💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I’m putting together a new lineup with production partner in crime , on keys and on drums for our super special Sound on Sound gig at as part of next month on July 14. With Booker AND Elijah on drums expect some baaaad beats!!! With visuals from projected onto a massive wall in the North Atrium Art Gallery space this gig will look as good as it will sound. I’m writing a bunch of brand new stuff as well!

RIP Dave Smith synth designer and founder of Sequential Circuits. We love our Prophet T8 from 1981 in the studio - less than 200 ever made and a very very unique and beautiful sound. His Prophet 5 is one of the greatest analog synths of all time. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

FOR SALE 1980’s legendary Technics SB7 monitors. Large size (and heavy!) they go down to 34hz so plenty of bass. Incredible high end design for the time and super expensive when new - with patented honeycomb drivers and ribbon tweeter these really sing! I’ve had these studios for several months as my second set of monitors and they sound amazing (and loud!) paired with my 180wpc Perreaux amp - they need a bit of power to get the best out of them Sadly one speaker suffered a bit of cosmetic damage during a move but this is barely noticeable and doesn’t stop them being a fantastic sounding speaker! I got a message from legendary UK producer end of last week asking me to play on a new release of his - here’s a snippet recorded Studios. I always love playing to Marc’s beats and productions going back to 4 Hero days when I guested on their amazing Creating Patterns album back in 2001. Marc also did beats for my album 5 A Day.
