4 things before buying…

✅ Research: look at comparable sales in the area, request a LIM report, consider a building report, and tap into the expert knowledge of all professionals involved in the transaction.
✅ Understand the sale process: Is this property being sold by tender, auction or one of several other methods? Confirm the details with the Real Estate agent.
✅ Get Legal Advice: A lawyer or conveyancer will handle all the paperwork involved in the sale process (including a title search) and offer impartial advice.
✅ Read the sale and purchase agreement and understand what it means. This is your contract with the seller – even though you’ll be working alongside a legal professional, it’s important to familiarise yourself with this document, raising any questions you have along the way.
