Support the cause e te whānau let’s get them to $1000 plus
Gumboot Friday is on 3rd of Nov and we want to raise as much as we can to donate to this fantastic cause. It can cost $100 - $150 per hour for so many people needing support with mental health. We have 2 lucky guys who going to have their mullets coloured and the more money raised the crazier their colours will be! If they reach over $1000 each they will be pretty unicorn colours pink purple and blue. And may I just say these 2 guys are not unicorn type guys 😁 they are kiwi blokes who love Harleys, cars and beers! journey being a new māmā and creating new products for our pepī. Phoenix has been with us earth-side for 6 months now and wow he’s a little champ, keeps māmā and pāpā on their toes and being our number tester for our new pepī collection…will prob have to start putting him on the payroll….

Our Story
AHI KAA
Burning fires of occupation, title to land through occupation by group over a long period of time. Through use of whakapapa they can trace back to primary ancestors who lived on the land. They held influence over the land through their military strength and defended successfully against challenges, thereby KEEPING THEIR FIRES BURNING.

The idea to make a product that combined both Aotearoa and Australia Native plants came when I was living in Australia in 2012 when I wanted to make Hair and skin care products that were natural and healing from the inside out, with me missing home in Aotearoa and my love for Australia I thought it would be amazing to incorporate my two homes into products.
Fast forward to 2016 while learning Rongoā online in Australia, Ahikaa healing was born with my first two products, Mahuika healing balm and Hine Nui I Te Po Tenetene oil. In 2018 my whanau and I moved back to NZ and in 2020 Ahikaa Collective formed.
Ahikaa products are natural and healing. The rau/plants used in our products are picked using traditional techniques through karakia/blessings and guidance and each product is made through MAURI(life force) and WAIRUA(energy).
The name Ahikaa means to keep the fires burning, to keep the mana and connection alive. So no matter where I am, I am” keeping the fires burning” in both Aotearoa and Australia.
