Worth sharing - I would imagine it would be a great day!!
I am excited to be getting the registrations coming in for our very special retreat day for Health and caring professionals!
This has been a long time in gestation and feels very important to me to be finally making it happen.
For us all to gather together, connect to ourselves and each other in a community of people who work in such a precious way in service to others in their times of pain and healing, hope and despair.
With all the particular stressors and parts of humanity that we see on a normal work day. Pain and trauma both physical and emotional, grief, death, chronic illness and suffering, high distress in all its forms. As well the awe inspiring capacity of the human spirit and body to heal, human resilience and compassion, new life being born, hope and healing ....we witness it al!
This retreat is to support and honour us and our mahi.
I hope you can be part of this and please share with others who may benefit.
We are nearly a 3rd of the way through our places for this retreat.
Kate
If anyone is in the retail industry and concerned about crime levels, there is a Retail Crime Prevention Seminar in Rangiora this Wednesday. Come along to hear ideas about keeping you and your staff safe.
I finished this off today - really worth doing, and it is free. For more information, visit the LifeKeepers website: https://lifekeepers.nz/
This is GREAT news! We have had this hanging over our heads for a good while - huge thank you to NZISM and HASANZ for their hard work.

Wow - this could be why I haven't had any internet since Friday morning. Sun damage and potentially a bit of bird pecking too!
Thanks to Pete from Scorch Communications for fixing the problem.
And apologies for being a bit slow to respond to emails this week. I'm back up and running today!
Here is the latest from WorkSafe NZ regarding COVID-19 controls at work. Worth a read :-)

It's been great working with Katrina on their safety systems - check out their accommodation too. Could be worth a trip to Kaikoura!

'Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I feel so much more confident with my plan now and know that its actually one I will use not just a tick-box for whoever wants to see it! I really appreciate your input, professionalism and friendly attitude'.
Sally - Motel Owner.
It's been so great working with you Sally! π€π€
Sometimes, all you need is a cuppa, paper, coloured pens and a snoozy dog for company. Taking some time to breathe and plan this morning, before getting stuck in.
What are you up to?
See this?
This is my 'bucket-filled and overflowing with joy' face.

A great morning presenting the Down the Back Paddock Programme, helping teach our tamariki about farm safety. I loved the message in the classroom about our choice to have a good day. 'I am responsible for making my day a good one'.
I also loved the notice in the teachers toilets.....
And that's a wrap! Yes, it's gone 11.00pm and I've just finished training. Sometimes, clients request some different times of work, so all of their workers can be included in important health and safety training. And with enough notice (to allow for a pre-session nap!), I am happy to help π€π€
Such a pleasure to know Robyn and learn from and hear her on a national TV programme, talking about such an important topic.
Reach out, talk to someone, and see what solutions you can come up with together.
What a great morning training supervisors in health and safety legislation and managing risks in their teams. And how creative they were too!
We all learn in very different ways. It's great to appeal to all the senses. Learning through play works with grown-ups too!
How would you react if there was play dough on the table at your next training session?
Three cities in one day made Kate a tired girl. But a great day in Hastings yesterday (with some wobbly flights home!), spending time with a new client, learning a lot about automation and robotics. Cool!
Just playing catch-up after the floods!
On Friday, we had an awesome catch up of Women in Safety Excellence members in Christchurch. Thank you so much to those who made it. No topic off the table!
This is certainly something we are keen to do regularly so watch this space. It was so good to share ideas, stories, concerns and encouragement with others in the profession.
Sorry we missed you in the photo Sharyn Kuppens !

I'm struggling to find a work-related reason to wear these to justify a purchase....any ideas....? ππ
I'm so pleased with these! Big thank you to Jayne Rattray www.jaynerattray.co.nz who designed my logo and now my new cards. Pretty proud of them - might just leave one wherever I go! Feel free to share them around ππ
Well, here's Fridays funny - thought I would take a few minutes to update my phone message and name recording, knowing it has probably been a while.
Listened back to what I have been playing to clients, only to discover a rather harassed-sounding me and the sound of a crying baby on the recordings π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ
Anyone want to guess how long ago that was....and no one told me ?!
It was worth taking the 3 minutes to record another one, now the babies are grown up ππ
Don't you just love it when you do something so far out of your comfort zone, that you do a little happy dance?
Website down......website fixed. By me!
Thank you Doni at Carrd for talking me through it - legend. And thank you Dave for letting me know it was down! Time for a web re-fresh.
