I LOVE this quote, and It is so so relevant to my life right now.

I am about to have my second child and my family will be my main focus for the next wee while. I will be taking 6 months maternity leave, starting 01 March. Now, the 'old me' would have thought that that would then put me '6 moths behind' & it would have stressed me out! But recently, I have been trying to see things. bit differently, I have since shifted my mindset and I am going to soak up this phase of my life and get excited about all the new experiences I will have. I know that every moment is part of the process of me becoming the best mother, partner, and business owner that I can be. I have chosen to see the beauty in my time off and I can't wait to see what my experiences in this phase will bring to my creativity and business once I am back in October 2023!

Nobody's process looks the same, embrace where you currently are in your life and ENJOY it.

There are a few key differences between our Exclusive & Non-exclusive Pattern License terms. All the info you need to know is below ⬇️

✨EXCLUSIVE LICENSE ✨

An Exclusive license means that it can not be licensed to more than one business. The pattern is exclusive to you regardless of other industry categories.

For Example: If a Baby Wear company licenses a pattern design, no other business can license that same pattern within your 2-year license term.

✨ NON-EXCLUSIVE LICENSE ✨

Whereas, a Non- Exclusive license means that it can be licensed to more than one business. However, this is still exclusive to your industry category.

For Example: If a Baby Wear company licenses a pattern, no one else in the baby wear industry can then license that same pattern within your 2-year license term. However, if a stationary company wanted to license that pattern then that would be allowed as it is in a different industry category. At the time of an enquiry, you will know what industries a pattern is already licensed to.

Both our Non-Exclusive & Exclusive Licenses last for 2 years – Once that term has ended, you get the first rights to re-license the pattern design before it becomes available to other businesses.

Hey Everyone, With the new year upon us and some new followers I thought I better reintroduce myself! I am Julia, the one women show behind Layered Design Studio!

Aside from being a graphic designer, I am a wife, and mumma to my sweet boy, Oliver and soon to arrive Baby #2!

When I am not behind my computer you can find me,

✨Baking in the kitchen! I LOVE to bake, and my husband LOVES to eat it! Ollie is also a very good little helper at both the making and eating too!

✨Dreaming of all the cocktails that I wish I could drink right now!

✨Hanging out with my little cheeky 2-year-old boy!

✨Spending time with friends & family.

✨Crocheting while we watch tv at night as it calms my brain when it is overloading!

Would you buy a Christmas coloured notebook specifically to write your Christmas lists in? If you are like me and have multiple notebooks, then I would, it would bring so much inspiration and would mean I wouldn't get it mixed up with all of the rest of them!

This or that? Gingerbread Village or Candy Cane Surprise? It felt like such a waste not to use the Christmas colour palettes from last week! So I have done two different versions of this pattern!

Inspiration is everywhere. If you look hard enough, you can be inspired by everything around you. I was sitting at my desk today waiting for something to load, and my highlighter was just sitting there! I don't know what it was or why, but I had this urge to then start drawing highlighters! SO... I DID.

It's amazing how the simplest of things can bring so much inspiration!

Can I get the colours changed when purchasing a premade pattern? I have been asked this a few times, the answer is ABSOLUTELY!

If the colours in the premade pattern are not your preference, I can customize the colours to match your vision. I also offer custom pattern design, so If you want to start from scratch and have a specific pattern in mind, I can help with that too!

I warned you, I honestly can't help it. Christmas is my favourtie time of year, so I just had to do some festive colour palettes! What one of these colour palettes gives you all the Christmas feels? My fav is number 3!

Hey Guys!, I have a secret to share with you...But, I am sure you have already figured it out by now!

Ok, I absolutely love Christmas! I have been nagging my husband to let me decorate the house since the beginning of the month!
I know I am one of 'those' people, but I love to decorate the house and get into the Christmas Spirit, though funnily enough, I do get sick of Christmas songs, those I am in no hurry to listen to.

I will be so proud of myself if I make it till the 1st of December to put the tree up! I already have a list of Christmas baking I want to do with my son and I am going to be doing my son's Christmas photos this weekend! - I am super excited, the decorations will be already out so might as well put the tree up right?!

DAY 5 // Todays prompt for was ‘Wild’ / This is my take on girls go wild out for drinks! I LOVE this pattern! It was so much fun to make and create all the cute little drinks! If only I could drink them!

It is a beautiful day in Hawkes Bay today, so what better day to continue to be inspired by this dreamy spring moodboard 🌸

About a month ago, some friends of mine and my family went to a daffodil farm where it was filled with both gorgeous daffodils but also lots of daises ( which of course my son was more interested in 😂)! It got me so inspired to do a spring pattern to combine the two flowers 💕 I will give you a sneak peak on the pattern on my stories in the next few days ❤️
