OWLs of Featherston WI have been busy over past few months providing morning and afternoon teas and suppers for various local groups.
With the funds raised by such endeavors, OWLs likes to support both local and national charitable organisations.
A call was put out by the NZ Federation Women's Institutes to donate 10,000 pairs of pajamas to Fosterhope, an organization that helps children placed in foster care.
Here is our contribution.

Members have been busy preparing and serving lunches and afternoon teas lately - some at short notice. These projects are a great social activity for members outside of our twice monthly get togethers.

At the WI national AGM recently, OWLs of Featherston WI were presented with the award for having recruited the most members in 2021. This was achieved because we were a new club. Wouldn't it be great if we could encourage new members to join and win the award next year?

OWLs of Featherston WI celebrated their 1st birthday last night with a BBQ at a member's house. It was a fun evening including a birthday present of a teddy bear brooch for all members and a game of pass the parcel! Many thanks to May Brown for the lovely painted stones also given to each member.
