With autumn now well and truly upon us, it is a good time with the long weekend coming up to start preparing your homes and holiday homes for the cooler winter months. Here are a few things you can do...

✨Inspect and Clean Gutters - Remove leaves and debris from gutters and down pipes to prevent clogging and water damage when it rains.

✨Inspect Roof and Chimneys: Inspect your roof for any damage including missing screws, loose iron or tiles undertake any necessary repairs. Also, ensure your chimney is clean and in good condition before it is used over the winter months.

✨Seal Windows and Doors: Check window and door joinery for any drafts around seal any gaps to improve energy efficiency and keep your home warm.

✨Inspect or add Insulation: Check the insulation in your roof and floor spaces. If there are any gaps or the insulation isn't tight now is the time to replace or add new insulation to improve your home's energy efficiency.

✨Service Heating Pumps: Be sure to clean your heat pump filters and if needed book a professional inspection and maintenance for your heat pump to ensure they are running efficiently and safely.
