6 years after the initial idea. I am super proud to put together the .nz team to deliver the first ever Trail Rose. 28 young women now have more confidence on the bike, a desire to ride and a bunch of new friends. A huge thanks to the team .

Along with our awesome sponsors and financial backers

The girls delivering the inspiration including .maxwell.mtb .

There was plenty of blood, sweat, tears, facing of fears, overcoming adversity and of course infectious giggling oh and man those girls could sink a lot of lollies.

Mission accomplished...
So what comes next?

Run what you brung they say. make that easy with the all new 2022 Anthem.

It's been great watching this model evolve over the last 10 years (I must be getting old talking like that) and I've made my best MTB memories on board the Anthem. From my first race winπŸ₯‡, first 24hr solo win πŸ₯‡, to North Island Schools champ πŸ₯‡, πŸ₯‰at Oceania XCE, 24 hour World's πŸ₯‡, top 10 at BC Bike Race as well as plenty of hard yards and early mornings and some of the best back country missions in our beautiful country πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ
I am stoked to be piloting this rocket ship again for 2022.
Best I give the engine a tickle up the meet this rocketship πŸš€ half way.

Enter DirtCraft,
My new little business which has been 5 years in the making.

COVID amongst other things has made for a rocky start since launching in June. But here we are 6 months deep and I'm real happy to pull together a double header event mid season with only a few weeks prep.

With DirtCraft XC Grom Champs along with Stumpies Enduro both ticked off and 130 riders with no majors there's definitely more to come on the event front.

Meanwhile in the coaching world we've seen over 200 riders each week this term with 15 different coaches under the DirtCraft umbrella along with a few private sessions.

Fair to say it's exciting times in my life at the moment amongst the adversity the world is throwing at us all.

I'm proud to be able to provide a little bit of stoke, confidence and learning into so many lives as DirtCraft continues to grow.

Big shout out to all those who have helped get DirtCraft in motion.

Keep it fun, keep it creative and keep it real.

Tristo signing off now to focus on Tri career as Surfbreaker n stuff approaches.

One thing I've come to appreciate in the last wee while is how multi dimensional MTB is. What does that mean you ask? Our sport has a different meaning for everyone involved. It's an activity that teaches you so much more than how to pedal fast or descend quick.
The people meet, the places you go and the experiences share are all pretty powerful and to me summarise what life is about. But at the same time isn't every sport a metaphor for life in its own way?

The challenge is now is to share this with the grom squad and see if we can open their minds to more than just medals, jumps and social media posts.

Karapoti 21 was tough with zero training. We'll see if I've learnt the lesson come 12 months time. This winter is shaping up to be pivotal in my coaching journey.
Very excite!

Many people in life aim to do well, and then later on do good. - Simon Sinek

I aim to do good while I do well as a coach and a person.

No better example of that than North Island School Champs a few weeks back.
With very little support from the schools, the trust in the process is second to none. All 35 families are invested in seeing our support network flourish. The impact it has on our kids is certainly something I'm very proud of!

Our MTB family at is going from strength to strength. Watch this space!

This picture shows the doing well part is happening by default in the background of the doing good part and its just the tip of the iceberg.

The saying " a fish out of water" has never been truer. And something about happy feet according to & .
Good times at the Marra tri. Didn't drown, didn't crash and didn't cramp... till after.
To summarise, triathlons are easy and triathletes should try a real sport on dirt. MTB is a great option... Don't be a p***y .

Good company with team MTB and great banter with the trigeeks made for a sick day.
