🖤 Welcome to Bitter N Twisted 🍕✨ Unveiling Canada's newest dark aesthetic gastro pub, where this deliciously dark restaurant combines pizza and cocktails to create the ultimate dine in experience!
We wanted to create a brand that would match our clients vision for the space and enhance her meticulously crafted aesthetic.
Filled with gold, glam and a hint of goth, this branding was a treat to create!
Crafting collateral for this brand was the icing on the cake for us. Every additional piece seamlessly blended to enhance both the branding and the ambiance of the restaurant. Our combination of stylized illustrations and elegant, standout typography resulted in a cohesive collection of assets that will continue to make a lasting impact across the brand's collateral and promotional materials for years to come!
A pivotal part of Bitter N Twisted’s brand creation was designing the window decal for the storefront. We experimented with illustrations, imagery, and type, aiming to craft something that seamlessly complemented the space and showcased the restaurant's unique aesthetic. The illustrations played a crucial role, serving as the perfect accent to infuse a playful and edgy element into the otherwise simple branding.

2023 AS A BRAND DESIGNER - who 4 years ago thought the peak of her career would be working for someone else… building someone elses dreams.
Although I’m 7 days late to this trend, I didn’t want to miss this awesome opportunity to reflect on the year in a short 20 second clip. Honestly, making this has gotten me a little emotional.
In my last job before I started Pink Pony, day in and day out I would sit at my desk and think… surely there is more to life than this; working for someone else, having projects where I felt no passion and drive for and as the weekend rolled around you would dread coming into Monday.
And I can tell you this… there certainly is more to life. I really had no idea that I could achieve ANY of this. But the secret is, you can too. With damn hard work (I won’t put it lightly - I’ve worked REALLY hard), confidence, motivation and putting yourself out there… you can achieve this too.
A few highlights this year that I will NEVER forget and still have to pinch myself that they have even happened;
⭐️ I opened my own office - signed a lease, branded the SH*T out of the space and made it feel like a second home
⭐️ Grew my already awesome team from 2 to 5! I don’t know where I’d be without them.
⭐️ Spoke at Adobe MAX for the second year running (DREAM COME TRUE - AGAIN) and got to meet so many incredible instagram friends and YOU GUYS.
⭐️ Was interviewed by (one of New Zealands largest news sources) and was featured in
⭐️ Signed a contract to speak at in 2024 in the USA.
⭐️ Threw an epic opening of ‘The Stables’ (our office)
⭐️ Connected with so many amazing business owners, designers, freelancers and all of YOU! And SO much more.
2023, you will NEVER be forgotten. 2024 - let’s see if we can top that shall we? 😉
Also for reference - that first clip of me crying 🙈 I was about to leave to Adobe MAX and I had a sudden realisation of how hard I had been working and what I had achieved. So all good tears.
🐍☕ Introducing... Caffeine & Curses! 🖤✨
What began as a Bookstagram account for swooning over broody villains has magically transformed into a haven for beautifully designed, original bookish merch. 📖✨
We’ve embraced a rebellious yet captivating aesthetic for Caffeine & Curses, characterised by confidence, rebellion and a devilish allure.
Caffeine & Curses uses its assets to create a world for customers to step into!
The distressed textures, fiery elements, and collage motifs conjure an atmosphere of ancient magic, paying homage to the carefully chosen books that inspired their designs. 🔥
Paired with bold typography, you get a modern and daring aesthetic that still holds an element of character. These assets and textures serve as enchanting overlays, adding depth to the look and keeping the brand's story alive across all their collateral.
Using distressed textures, a broody colour palette and strong imposing type, you get a brand that dares to stand out.
It's a touch of dark romance that takes you on a journey away from the light and into the shadows.
It’s all about going from fiction, to fashion!
What I presented to my clients 2 years ago ➡️ what I NOW a present to my clients.
Presentation and strategy can be KEY when sending out brand proposals. When I started presenting in this way my value went through the roof because I was provided so much more than just my design work. I was providing my thoughts, strategies and the way the brand should look applied to the business. You can shop these templates on my shop!
When designing the packaging for Full & Filled, our goal was to create an unboxing experience that strikes the perfect balance between luxury and a sense of playfulness, making it both exciting and enjoyable! 🤩
In the realm of branding and packaging, our focus revolves around crafting a distinctive identity. We strategically make decisions to enable your brand to convey a unique personality, encompassing a captivating narrative, a relatable persona, and a tangible emotional resonance—going beyond mere logo and color choices.

Mock ups are great, real life pictures... EVEN BETTER!
We absolutely adore witnessing our branding projects come to life, and 776BC Loukoumades is certainly no exception. The bold colour palette and playful illustrations come to life in the packaging and serve as the perfect vessel for these delectable greek treats!
Ready for some Olympic dough-liciousness?
”Legend has it, in the ancient Olympics of 776 BC, the gods themselves craved a heavenly treat. So, the Loukoumades were born, crafted from the ambrosia of the divine, each golden sphere representing the sweetness of victory. Today, 776BC Loukoumades carry on this Olympian tradition, serving Loukoumades that are fit for the gods & champions, bringing a taste of ancient Greece to modern-day mortals!”
Taking ancient motifs and giving them a modern twist was one of the most fun and creative aspects about this branding project. By reimagining ancient Greece and infusing its essence into this brand, we've achieved a unique and standout identity that sets it apart from the rest - Perfect for a food truck!
Treat Cakes & Pastries is a delightful bakery nestled in Whangarei, New Zealand!
Their branding embodies all things pretty, pink, and is inspired by vintage aesthetics. With a playful logo, classic linework illustrations, and fun patterns, this café has undergone a pink pony makeover!
The illustration in this branding not only acts as a focal point but also infuses a playful and charming ambiance into the overall look. Its vintage-inspired styling evokes a sense of nostalgia, enveloping the bakery with an inviting warmth and a comforting familiarity that beckons customers inside.
In Treat’s branding process, we've integrated ‘generative fill’ techniques to stylize and generate many of our mockups for brand proposals. By incorporating "generative fill" into our workflow, we're able to achieve a precise aesthetic for our mockups or create scenes that capture the essence of what the brand photography could potentially look like.
This approach allows us to craft a flawless vision for our clients, ensuring that we don't compromise on style or specific details when presenting potential brand concepts to them.
The bakery's collateral materials will leverage these illustrations to craft a playful brand space that extends the same creativity and joyful spirit found in their delectable offerings into their visual identity.
Designing the meal-kit packaging for Tyme played a huge role in shaping this brand, aligning seamlessly with their identity, principles, and commitment to efficiency and saving time.
We used custom illustrations to craft packaging that exudes intricate and organic aesthetics. This aesthetic reflects the company's dedication to minimising food waste and supporting local sourcing!
Tyme's branding is focused around stylized minimalism, characterized by the use of elegant serif fonts, line art, and a meticulously curated typography suite.
Tyme’s core focus is on families and individuals eager to explore new recipes, fostering a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages people to pick up a recipe and try!
Enter the world of Mirrorball Hearts Club, a photography studio dedicated to capturing love stories in their unique style. They transform everyday moments into cherished memories, capturing the emotions that make each love story special. Their branding draws from retro aesthetics and bold illustrations, giving their identity a distinct personality.
Inspired by vintage films and nostalgic memories, Mirrorball Hearts Club infuses their brand with charm. Illustrations are a key part of their branding, adding accents and frames that complement their photography. These drawings evoke themes of love, music, food, and joy, enhancing the visual narrative without overshadowing the photos.
The branding process involved meeting specific requests and using mock-ups to bring the client's personality to life. Through textures, illustrations, and a bold type suite, they created a branding that perfectly aligned with the client's vision. Mirrorball Hearts Club stands as a delightful and successful outcome of working with personal branding, capturing the essence of their clients' ideas ❤️

Introducing Hahana, where bold colours, modern typography, and interactive imagery collide to create a captivating brand experience! Hahana is a content creation platform on a mission to make Te Reo Māori more accessible to all, helping young people around the world rediscover their culture. The brands overall striking and digitised look is Hahana’s first step to changing the way NZ (and the world) communicate! 🌟
Language and translation played a big part in how we structured the typography. By utilising distinct stylised typefaces for both English and Māori, we create a captivating visual experience. The mix of fonts generates an edgy appeal, drawing people in and embodying Hahana's youthful and refreshing perspective on rediscovering culture.
Hahana is all about the young people, and the stories they have to tell. As most of the content is film based, we have created a look that is reminiscent of TV Docu-series. Type that is clearly distinguishable, bold frames and plenty of opportunity for media - Hahana is a brand that steps strongly into the modern media scene, and we cannot wait to see what they create!
Pulling togeher a brand identity to create a cohesive, recognisable and memorable brand identity; a stunning result for Glam Atelier 🌟

Introducing Sidekit!
SideKits branding takes all things colour, hands, and symbols. We’ve utilised big type, negative space and luminous tones to elevate the branding and jump out.
How groovy does SideKits branding look across these social media mock ups! The block effect against the type allows for points to stand out against a basic background, adding an extra bit of detail to elevate the branding even further!
An example of how SideKits branding could look across a window mock up! Applying new branding to mock ups creates for clear visuals and showcases how branding can look across collateral with ease.
How beautiful does Blanc Basics visuals look across social media and mock ups. The colour palette comes together effortlessly with warm and inviting tones. Using decorative frames, we are able to elevate this branding without complicating the design too much. The final outcome is clear, concise and elegant.
Blanc Basics brand mark is bold and refined. We had the pleasure of creating this double ‘B’ situation. Intertwining and connecting the two letters together. The flow on effect between the two letters is abstract yet refined, allowing a well represented and easy to decipher brand mark.
Style wise, we wanted the branding to stand out as minimalist but with hints of DIY and scrap booking. This is reminiscent of how Pressed Paper started, as a family business in their home!
Hand written fonts create an organic, “home-made” feel that translates to edgy, when paired with the brands content and photography. We have also included paper textures and assets to further enhance the vibe.
The colour palette is mixed with textures to create a soft, almost romantic nature for pressed paper, the pastels allowing their products to jump out as the main feature. When pulling the branding together, using tapes, ripped paper and polaroid frames gives Pressed Paper a comfy, lived in feel - Just like their clothes do!
Shimmer Drops paint - Your artisan watercolour expert! Blending Luxe with art, we let textures and organic shape take centre stage with this refined branding. Known for their iridescent colours, we explored ways to make this branding standout and shine ✨
Using ink splotches as our inspiration, we created organic brush strokes and filled them with texture, making them the perfect asset to spruce up a layout or post! This adds dimension to the branding and strikes the perfect balance between organic and elevated.

Okay, it had to be done… but with the Pink Pony twist 😉🦄
And yes, the second one is true. Disgraceful I know. I’ll be on Santa’s naughty list this year.
NEVER GIVE UP…
Just over 3 years ago I shared that I was going to be taking my business full time 😭 and shared a somewhat very staged and it seems highly edited photo in the second pic 😅.
We all go into buisness hoping for the best and being REALLY unsure about the future.
I never would have imagined on that day, when I had shared that picture, that 3 years later I would be running a full time agency with a team, making multiple 6 figures a year, working and collaborating with companies I would have never dreamed to work with, having been a speaker at Adobe MAX 2022 — and for this year, having some really exciting things lined up.
I’ve learnt a lot and still continue to learn every single day. Here are some of my most important lessons I want to share with you, in the hope that YOU can take away and implement in your day to day:
• Mindset is everything. Don’t let the only thing standing in your own way be YOU.
• Social media can be hard. But the opportunity it can bring is unlimited. Work at it, it’s worth it.
• Don’t sweat the small stuff. If you f*ck up, Move on. Without mistakes, there’s no risk. And without risk there’s no growth. You have to be willing to make mistakes to GROW.
• Understand that over time you WILL get better. Better at design. Better at project management. Better at pricing. Better at speaking to clients. Be okay with where you are right now and be committed to your growth and confidence.
• GROW THAT DAMN EMAIL LIST. Don’t do what I did and wait 2.5 years to start one.
• You can make a lot of money in design. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
• Design is just ONE part of being a successful design. You have to be good at time management, organisation, speaking with clients etc. Don’t sweat it if your not the best designer in the world, if your pretty good at things across the board — you’ll do just fine 🙌
• And get a damn accountant, it’s worth it.
Thank you so much for all of the support from each and everyone of you. I honestly, couldn’t have done it without you and this platform. You have changed everything and opened up huge doors that I never even knew existed for me so…
Thank You ❤️
