This survey aims to find out more about the impacts of childhood feeding challenges on parents & whānau. Please see info below 😃

Research Project: Whānau of Children with Feeding Challenges in Aotearoa.

I am a second-year student in the University of Auckland Masters of Speech Language Therapy programme. Dr Bianca Jackson is my research supervisor. We are seeking to gather the thoughts and experiences of parents and whānau of children with feeding difficulties in relation to the psychological and financial impacts that may be occurring for people in this situation.

I have attached some information for you and I would be grateful if you could share this with whānau/parents you know who may have been impacted psychologically or financial due to having a child with feeding difficulties.

We know from overseas research that there are numerous financial and psychological impacts that occur for families due to having a child with both short term and long-term feeding difficulties. There is no data currently available to show the impacts facing parents and whanau of children with these difficulties who reside in New Zealand.

Click the link to find out more information and to see the survey, or please feel free to me directly. Kindest Regards

Research & Services to help children with feeding difficulties

Are mealtimes stressful in your home? Is your child eating only a few foods? Or relying on formula or tube feeding?

I’m Dr. Sarah Leadley. I’m a Psychologist, Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, and a Mum. I’m passionate about supporting children who are having trouble with eating - through funded research projects at the University of Auckland, and private services.

I can support children and young people between 1- 16 years old who have feeding challenges including fussy or picky eating, food selectivity (e.g., refusing to eat certain textures, or food groups), formula dependency or feeding tube dependency. I help children with a range of developmental disabilities, as well as children who do not have disabilities.

Updates about research projects and services will be shared on this page, or you may visit the website here for info: www.allyoucaneatkids.co.nz
