Christmas Donations (received by them today!) to: 38-9015-0193600-01
Or if you would like to them to receive it in January, please donate here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/vhfa
With the cost of living having gone up in NZ, I know it can be a struggle to give, especially at this time of year, but we are doing one last push to help give these rangatahi (and the many more in the community that Volunteers Heart for Africa & Alfa Orphanage service) a decent Christmas this year!
Although they have achieved so much this year thanks to your donations through purchases at Phreaze Factory and our 5% koha program, they’ve also had so much loss this year, incomprehensible loss. If helping them to have an enjoyable Christmas with full pukus is something we can do, then that’s what we’ll do!
We will be sending any collections through the bank account at lunchtime today (they will receive it instantly).
Please see the message below from Alfred, who runs the orphanage along with his wife.
————————
Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions. But for families living in poverty, Christmas can be just an ordinary day. For many, Christmas can also be the saddest day.
Every year, Alfa orphanage aims to ensure that children within the project and the children from the poor communities we serve, can also have aMerry Christmas! We want to ensure that their food is not recycled from garbage.
And that the children will have a brand new toy for Christmas; and not a toy that they found on garbage
A simple way to share the true meaning of Christmas with these children is to provide them a Christmas dinner and Christmas gift
We want these children to have a decent dinner when they gather around the table on Christmas Day and to have Christmas presents to open with so much joy, excitement and gratitude.
On behalf of the children, we THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance for sharing your blessings!

Still recovering today from an amaaazing day at Year 9 Activity day on Thursday! The vibe there was hyyyyyyype!
Kicked the day off with a kōrero, and a bit of a performance (honestly felt like Bieber with all the dancing, screaming, and requests for photos! - please tag if you have some! Lol) in the hall, then broke off into The Purple Lab - Phreaze Factory “Conference Clique” workshops at the Drama room around our dreams through lyricism and performance! (HUGE Thankyou to for providing our sound system for the workshops!)
SO proud and grateful to everyone for giving it a go! I love that teachers were comming in telling me there were groups of you rapping all over the School afterwards! You were all so respectful and grateful for the opportunity to do something like this too - grabbing that mic with such confidence!
I especially loved how when we talked about your favourite Hiphop lyrics, you just jumped on that mic and SANG/RAPPED them in front of everyone! WOW! The talent!
I really appreciate all of the gifts and individual thank yous I got throughout the day, means a lot when I can see that my work & words are resonating with you!
Using my own shared life experiences as an example, my primary message for the day from me to you “no matter how tough your life may seem at any moment, me that if you DON’T ALLOW it overcome you, but from negative experiences instead, they can only make you ”.
Keep being the beautiful that you are!
If anyone has a TGC YEAR 9 and they came home rapping today… sorry not sorry lol mean day of performances and workshops but also I’m also smashed 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And also could you please tag me in any pix or videos you see on socials coz I got none myself as per usual 🤣. Thanks for making me feel like Justin Bieber today with all the screaming and paparazzi 🤣 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As requested .. one on ones it is ❤️

Being your authentic self is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things you can do as a person.
For being authentic and true to herself has made her a successful MC, business owner and an inspiration to rangatahi young and old. We were stoked to have Phreaze inspire our rangatahi at HRHA 2023, by being her authentic self and uniquely presenting the way she only know's how.

Awwwwww… there is a video of my son in his PJs singing HOLES by Mercury Rev. I sent it to them, explaining how (with his autistic abilities) we can’t get him to imitate words yet he imitates the words they’re singing on it. I sent it because as an artist myself, I would love to know if my music was making such an impact on somebody. I didn’t expect a response but received this email this morning 🥲. Moral of the story - let your favourite artists know how their music is impacting you, they hear it and appreciate it!
My Artist friends, please consider supporting our whānau at the orphanage in Africa through this initiative. The link for donations is: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/vhfa ❤️❤️❤️❤️
