Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. "Creating hope through actionโ is the triennial theme for the World Su***de Prevention Day from 2021 - 2023. This theme is a reminder that there is an alternative to su***de and aims to inspire confidence and light in all of us.
Here in Aotearoa a variety of resources and services are available at mentalhealth.org.nz/su***de-prevention. If you just want to chat through your thoughts or access some wellbeing tips you can chat with one of our virtual guides via Headstrong. Things around here might look a bit different โ because they are! The Aroha whฤnau is expanding, and so our accounts are changing with it. We are now called Headstrong NZ. Headstrong is our new app, which allows rangatahi across NZ to access our tools and get support as and when it suits them. Aroha is still available via the app, alongside new content and more chatbots tools.
