👷Had some new crew on hand last weekend!

We broadcasted five games for the College Sport All Stars event which featured a fully functioning replay suite, a brand-new graphics package which integrates into FIBA LiveStats, and a few new pieces of kit.

In total we had five cameras, seven crew on-site and an awesome few days to remember.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The College Sport All Stars are coming to Kāpiti on the 9th & 10th September this year. With five games playing, we are gonna need some help and we know there are people that want to learn new skills (or show them off).

CONTENT CREATORS
If you want to take videos, post them online and help us expose the talent of players from around the Wellington Region, send us a DM! We would love to have you around for the event and we would love to share your content with our 1.3k+ fans.

PHOTOGRAPHERS
Same as the content creators. Photos are so important for the event, and we want you to show off what you can do. In a safe-space filled with other photographers, you'll be able to learn more about the skills and art, and we will credit you with whatever we post.

BROADCAST CAMERA OPERATORS AND RUNNERS
Ever wanted to be part of basketball but know more about the technical side? Come and help the team at Four Seasons Media by learning the ways of broadcast. You will be moving the cameras, hearing the instructions and helping show the game off to hundreds of people at home. In a safe space encouraging learning and opportunity.

What a fantastic time at the HoopNation Junior Showcase 2022! The team loved being a part of the event, showing off fantastic college basketball talent. We are all excited for what the next one will bring!

Thank you to the amazing crew we had, as per usual, they smashed it! All the time put into graphic design, instant replay creation, audio, video designs and plans, and on-site implementation.

Special HoopNation announcement

With the recent change in the traffic light settings, we are excited to announce that the JSC Dunk contest will be going ahead at this year’s event.

To enter, clubs and teams need to nominate a dunker by sending a direct message to the HoopNation account on either Facebook or Instagram by 5 pm this Friday.

Dunkers will be announced this Sunday, and the Dunk Contest will be held on Friday 29th after the conclusion of the day's games.

We are so thrilled to be bringing you coverage of the HoopNation Junior Showcase again for 2022! We are bringing our A game to this one, providing a large production, with 6 different camera angles, spectacular graphics and statistics, and some sweet sweet replays! You might even hear the nice net sounds we had tried late last year 😮

College Sport All Stars is BACK for 2022!

Last year, we saw 40 of the best College Basketball athletes take the court in pink and purple, repping the All Stars tag for the first time. Now we're taking it to the next level with a weekend of exciting basketball action across two days.

There's plenty of announcements to be made with heaps of news to share, including how we are playing five games over two days with the blockbuster All Star matches for both the Girls and the Boys. Location announcements will be made when the official College Sport season kicks off in May.

This year we are also including the Skills Challenge to our portfolio of entertainment. Watch this space to see how you can be part of it.

It's crazy to think that we would've been tipping off SS22 around about now. To celebrate and remember what we had, we're announcing something special today. Welcome to summer.basketball - your new home for basketball.

summer.basketball will include everything across all SS branches, including Season Showdown, CS All Stars and The Summer Series. All statistics and videos will be available and will go back to the very start of the competition in 2018. Each player who ever stepped foot on the court will be able to see every game from every year, compare years and sort based on that specific year.

We've begun work on it and the site will be ready around July 2022, just in time for our next project. You can head to https://summer.basketball which currently will direct you to the SS homepage to keep in the loop about upcoming changes.
