Not long now till our last BEST.WEEKEND.EVER. March 11 and 12 we are running our Diamonds in the Rough and The Good Times Society camps one more time here in Wellington. We will have the whole team together, the trails will be prime and Double Vision Brewing is locked in for our Saturday afternoon debrief.

Onto the next adventure! Founded in 2014 JoyRide has been a place to share the skills so people can love their riding. We have run over 300 skills course with riders from all around Aotearoa and have loved every minute of it! But now the time has come for the next adventure... my heart is keen to focus on WORD as the Founder/CEO and Russ is loving his work with Peak Safety Ltd as a medic and first aid instructor.
So... what does that mean?!

With the move to Orange, our camps will be back! We are finalising a few details so we can open bookings for our this Friday for both our Diamonds in the Rough Women's and The Good Times Society Men's Camps. We will have camps on offer in both Wellington and Rotorua in the new year. If you want to be first to get the info, make sure you sign up to our mailing list at www.joyride.co.nz. We only mail out a couple of times a year, and this is one you won't want to miss!
Sometimes it is the small things that make the difference. Mike has been building his confidence on drops, but was landing nose heavy.
Working with Russ, we made some tweaks to his body position and leading with the bike off the drop and then recentering and he is landing wheels together and centred.
So cool to help people make these connections and see them progress.
This time of year we know it can be hard to make our group courses, so we have plenty of private sessions at a variety of times on offer. If you can't see a time that works for you, let us know!

Instructors want to work on their skills too! Our DNA is intertwined with , with both outfits being the brain children of . This year we strengthened that partnership with a free skills session for all new instructors. Our Rough Stuff sessions have proven the most popular with everyone looking to dial up their technical riding in order to keep with the kids this term! We are stoked to be able to support these riders honing their skills.

The Good Times Society is coming back to Welly. 20-21 November
With CoVID nixing our plans for camps in Rotorua, we are mixing it up with a weekend of riding in our back yard.
We'll be exploring the Wellington backyard with skills courses at Makara Peak and Miramar! Top it off with great lunches and shuttles (yeeoww!)
Saturday- Makara Peak, 9am-2pm Skills course (getting the basics dialled), Lunch from Penny's , group ride with exploring rocky stuff and spicy corners!
Sunday- Miramar, 9am-2pm Pumping, jumping and cornering! Skills course followed by private shuttles with Wellington MTB Shuttles then Lunch at Double Vision Brewery!
This 2 day guys' only mountain bike camp will help take your riding to the next level, just in time for Summer. Join Russ and Rod for a quality weekend in Wellington- skills sessions, group rides, shuttles and the odd refreshment or two.

We're back!!! After being stuck inside for far too long, we're soooo looking forward to getting back on the bike with rad ladies! 😍
Diamonds in the Rough (3 day women's MTB camp) is all go for Rotorua (as long as we're at Level 1 or 2). We'll offer a full refund if we're not able to run or you can't get to Rotorua due to the ole covid.

Here we go again. We have all practised this before so at Alert Level 2, our group and private sessions in Wellington are still go. We will have social distancing measures in place and our instructors will be equipped with additional gear in case they need to give First Aid. Our existing sign procedures are there to support contact tracing.
