Symptoms of heel spurs can include:

● Sharp pain like a knife in the heel when standing up in the morning.
● A dull ache in the heel throughout the rest of the day.
● Inflammation and swelling at the front of the heel.
● Heat radiating from the affected area.
● Small, visible bone-like protrusion under the heel.
● Point of tenderness at the bottom of the heel that makes it hard to walk barefoot.


Highly found in cases of, or caused by:

● Athletic activities: Running and jumping can wear down the heel and arch of the foot.
● Activity on hard surfaces: Frequently walking, running, or jumping on hard surfaces can wear down the heel.
● Trauma to the heel: Bruising the heel and tearing the membrane that covers it can lead to heel spurs.
● Getting older: common in older men and women.
● Being female:A heel spurs are more common in women than men.
● Being overweight: heel spurs were related to obesity.
● Improper footwear: Frequently
wearing shoes that do not fit properly, have lost their support, or are not supportive, such as flip-flops, can lead to heel spurs.

The IDD Therapy Programme at Muscat Osteopathy and Wellness Centre is designed to help relieve chronic back and neck pain and allow you to get on with living the life you want to lead. Intervertebral Differential Dynamics (IDD) Therapy is the successful and trusted non-surgical spinal decompression treatment for back pain, neck pain and related conditions such as sciatica. Many back pain conditions are located at a particular level in the spine. With IDD Therapy we use computer-controlled pulling forces delivered by the Accu SPINA medical device to gently distract (draw apart) targeted segments of the spine in order to take pressure off specific discs and nerves whilst at the same time, gently stretching tight muscles and stiff ligaments. عرق النسا هو الألم الذي يمتد على طول العصب الوركي، والذي يتفرع من أسفل ظهرك ممتدًا إلى الوركين والأرداف وأسفل كل ساق. وعادة ما يؤثر عرق النسا في جانب واحد فقط من جسمك.

عادة ما ينشأ عرق النسا عندما يضغط القرص المنفتق أو النتوءات العظمية في العمود الفقري، أو تضيُّق في مسافات العمود الفقري (تضيُّق القناة الشوكية) على جزء من العصب.
