🧟State of Fitenss Zombie Apacolypse MEP Challenge!

👻How does the challenge work?

🎃This is an individual member challenge. Starting October 1, staff are not allowed to use their belts for 10 days. This is to give the humans (your members) a head start.

🧟Members, we encourage you to earn as many MEPs as possible in that time. When the 10 days are up, there’s a zombie outbreak! Our staff can earn MEPs and try to catch members for the remainder of the challenge.

How do we draw winners?

Members earn raffle tickets for every zombie staff member they’re in front of at the end of the challenge. This is the more inclusive option that keeps everyone in the game.

If you do not have a Myzone belt, please ask a staff member and they can help get you one.

Join the challenge and see if you can prevent the zombie outbreak by staying ahead of our staff!

💥MOVEMENT IS LIFE!

Sitting, standing in one place, driving, and working at a computer are also a part of life.
_
Your body will go through phases of moving and staying static. You can’t be perfect but you can make a conscious effort to move with intention.
_
We encourage micro-movement breaks throughout the day to help offset some of the static phases we will go through.
_
While NEAT can be known as a personal characteristic that not everyone has. You can still work to move a little more frequently each to keep energy (calories) balance in check.
_
Workouts are essential and so is daily intentional movement.

Keep moving and feed your body and brain what it needs to feel energetic and healthy!

Your fitness is the most important thing in your life today.

There are several markers to measure how physically
Fit you are. But how are you self-defining your fitness? Are you paying attention to it?
_
Do you place a high value on your fitness? Is it one of the most important things you focus on each day? If you don’t, why are not prioritizing the most important thing in your life?
-
Making time to exercise is not a selfish act. Improving your physical fitness will help you do all the things in life better. You will be a better mom, dad, and spouse, improved mental health, better co-worker, and serve your community.
_
The evidence that exercise is your number one longevity-builder is astounding. Not to mention all of the wonderful benefits that regular exercise provides.
_
Your VO2 Max (in simple terms, how cardiovascularly fit you are) is the best marker for longevity. Cardio may not be all of our favorites but it is a reality that we need to make it a point to at least meet the minimum.
_
How much muscle mass you carry is like your retirement account for your body. Just keep putting small deposits in your account each week by lifting weights. It will help carry you through life.
_
How resilient, vibrant, and functional your body will be as you age is largely determined by how important you put fitness in your life. This is your insurance policy for your body. Squatting, getting up and down off the ground, and reaching above your head are survival skills.
_
Time, money, kids, jobs, tough times, and other adversities will be easier to handle when you prioritize your fitness.
_
I heard a great trainer, Bret Jones say this a few weeks ago.
“The only place fitness comes before health is in the dictionary. “

Your fitness is your baseline for everything in life. If you prioritize fitness, things in life will be easier. If you don’t, obstacles will stand in your way to live the life you want and deserve. Find what you enjoy doing. Find friends to do it with. Plan for it each day and watch everything in life become just a little bit easier.

1. Increase tissue temperature (which enhances the muscular

The first step in your exercise program is to simply show up. Find what you like to do. Find what you can do and stay consistent.

If you stay consistent long enough, you eventually may find out that what you have been doing may not be working as well as it once did.

This can be known as reaching a plateau - a state of little or no change following a period of activity or progress.

This is normal and may even bring you down a bit. Even if you do experience a plateau, your exercise program is still great for you. It's exercise, progress, or no progress. Your body is still absorbing some benefits.

You shouldn't use lack of time for not exercising. You will always be too busy. We are all too busy. We all have way too much to do. You simply have to face that reality head-on and figure out how you can fit it into your lifestyle.

However, I do understand that even if time should not be a factor in moving your body, it still can be overwelming. Keep it simple you don't need to devote 2 hours a day.

I like to use the 11-minute rule. Move intentionally for 1--minute a day. That is a great place to start. The Get-up and Swing done for 11 minutes a day is a great place to start.
