We were happy to have Elder Ted Wilson, the President of the global Adventist Church, at our Lae heliport today. He was on his brief visit to the Church in Lae. Though on a tight schedule, he had time to meet our SDA staff, meet our upcoming female helicopter engineers and pilots, learn of the work we do under Mountain Area Medical Airlift Foundation and also prayed with us before journeying to NADZAB for his flight out of Morobe.

P2-BIB was out and about in Northern Province doing flights... Here's a lovely experience shared by Paul Henley, one of our managers who helped out with today's task...

"Task today was to pick up some health workers who had been out in remote villages giving immunisations to the villagers and return them to Popendetta. On our last trip, a mama and sick baby presented and we took them into the hospital. What started as a commercial job, finished as another Mama Medevac."

We are proud to welcome back our two employee and aspiring helicopter pilots Gorethy and Annette.

Both have successfully passed their flight tests in Australia and got their private pilot's licence.

Chief executive officer of Manolos Aviation Limited Jurgen Ruh in congratulating the girls said "even though a private pilot, this is the first big step of a hundred miles journey and I am so proud to have supported these two girls."

A 40 year old female with bush knife wound to the left limb had developed infection that needed urgent surgical attention. She appeared to be very pale and blood level reading at Etep Rural Hospital revealed 4g. Thanks to a quick referral request by health professionals at Etep on Feb15th, the mother was given blood on site and was safely transferred to Lae via our helicopter P2-HOT. The mother is currently at ANGAU Hospital awaiting surgery.
