The Angeles University Foundation - College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Association, together with various AUF departments and organizations, brings joy to children during an outreach activity at Marisol Bliss Elementary School on Saturday, September 21.

Now in its sixth year, the event, themed "𝗠𝗴𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶, 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶 𝗩.𝟲," aims to spread happiness by distributing goods such as biscuits and candies. This simple yet thoughtful initiative brings genuine smiles to the children's faces, reminding everyone that even small acts of kindness can make a difference.

The initiative is made possible through the efforts of the CAS Alumni Association and its partners: the College of Arts and Sciences, AUF-MPC, AUF-FAA, CAS-CSC, The Pioneer, Lighthouse, Biological Sciences Society, SAMASKOM, KASAUF, DWAU, Dr. M. Flores, and Dr. V. De Jesus.

This annual project continues to uphold its mission of spreading happiness and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

Tagaytay City, Cavite — On September 20, Angeles University Foundation’s (AUF) DWAU 104.1 FM and The Pioneer proudly showcased the talents of its students at the 15th National Campus Media Conference, organized by the School Press Advisers’ Movement, Inc. The event highlighted the remarkable creativity and communication skills of student teams competing in both English and Filipino categories.

AUF's English broadcasting team delivered an impressive performance, securing a commendable 6th place in a highly competitive field. The team members included:
1. Wilfred Ian Deighnielle Caceres (AB Communication 4)
2. Rosalino Kit III (AB Communication 4)
3. Shen Soriano (BS Criminology 4)
4. David Daniel Pavico (BMMA 3)
5. Rafael Milano Ponce (AB Communication 2)

Similarly, the Filipino broadcasting team demonstrated their prowess, finishing in 7th place. The members of the Filipino team were:
1. Frances Cyrille Bingcang (AB Communication 4)
2. Harmony Jasmine Bautista (AB Communication 4)
3. Ericka Mae Daracan (AB Communication 3)
4. Vien Patrick Ferrer (BMMA 3)
5. Karl Luis Marasigan (AB Communication 2)

A special highlight was Wilfred Ian Deighnielle Caceres, being recognized as Broadcaster of the Year for his exceptional performance and dedication throughout the competition.

Moreover, Angeleneans’ documentary, titled “Taliba pa rin ba?”, explored the theme “AI: A Friend or a Foe?” and placed 8th among entries from 37 participating schools in the I-Dokumento competition. The students responsible for the award-winning documentary are the following:

2. Wilfred Ian Deighnielle Caceres (AB Communication 4)
3. Julia Bucad (BS Biology 3)
4. Sophia Bernadette Briones (BS Psychology 2)

The Pioneer also won awards in the competition including citations in the Digital Publication.

CINEMALAYA 2024 IN PHOTOS: AUF SAMASKOM attended the annual Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival on August 9 at Trinoma and Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

This year's theme is “𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐛, 𝐋𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦, 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬.” This year’s entries are steered by the values of the Filipino artists' 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒃 (core) that connects filmmakers to audiences.

As communication majors, the organization push forward the advocacy of supporting local filmmakers as this encourages the community to create more films that frees the soul and opens the consciousness of every Filipino.
