Grassroot tournament is not just about finding new talents or promotion. It's about building a real sense of community, connecting players and fans, and strengthening the local esports scene so it can grow.

What i love most about grassroot tournament is yung accessibility for aspiring players. Everyone gets a fair chance to compete with no special advantages given to teams. And most importantly, yung chance to compete without heavy financial demands. :)

One of my favorite moments in Esports was joining T1 Dota (formerly SK Telecom T1), when I got reunited with MarchDota, Gabbidota and Carlo "Kuku" Palad, and had the chance to work with the two-time TI champions Anathan Pham and Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen. Even though our time together was short and didn’t get the result we hoped for, I can say that our diversity was one of our biggest strength.

There were many challenges: culture and playstyles to name a few, but during competitions, we were a team. Some players brought creativity and bold plays, while others contributed strategy, broader perspective, and discipline. This mix created a synergy that enhanced our performance.

It reminded me that a team isn’t just about having the skills; it’s also about learning and showing that diversity can make a team stronger.

Our Blacklist HOK team finished the group stage undefeated, taking first place in their group!

Switching to a new game like HOK since June 2024 was challenging, but through alignment, communication, and hard work, the team improved significantly.

Their latest achievement is winning the Honor of Kings Clash Tournament at the Philippine GameDev Expo. 🏆

Some core values driving this small success include interest, commitment, hard work, and growth.

We still have much to learn, so please continue supporting us as we gear up for the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 PH Qualifier next week!

TNC Pro Team - Dota2, 2018

My esports career started with TNC in 2018, thanks to the amazing leadership and guidance of Sir Eric M. Redulfin, CEO, and my hero/idol, Paulo Sy, Vice President. Both are huge inspirations to me then, until now. Switching from a corporate job to the world of esports was a tough call, but looking back, I’m really glad I made that leap. Salamat sa pag recruit Arlene Sy!

TNC has been a game-changer in PH esports, setting high standards in team management, culture, personal and spiritual growth, coaching, respect, integrity, and professionalism. We’re firm believers that a team or players can truly thrive when these core values are in place.

Some of our biggest achievements in Dota 2 during my time include:

🏆Winning the MDL Chengdu Major: We made history as the first Filipino organization to claim a Valve Major title.
🏆Becoming the ESL One Hamburg 2019 Champion: Securing the first ESL trophy for Southeast Asia.
🏆Becoming a TWO-TIME World Electronic Sports Games (WESG)Champion.
🏆Securing multiple Asia Pacific Predator League Championship trophies.

Why am I sharing these? ALIGNMENT. Athletes or esports players must be aligned with the culture and values of the organization, but it doesn't happen overnight with cultural, professional and personal differences, everyone must be willing to do the work. That's where commitment, hard work, discipline, and open communication come in. That is the WINNING COMBINATION.

Hi Everyone! Doms here, currently the Head of Esports at Blacklist International

Sa wakas! I’ve finally gathered the courage to create my page with the primary goal of helping athletes and esports players, especially the next generation and those who don't have access to personal coaching.

What else do I do? Aside from coaching, I currently oversee all business activities for assigned game titles, including finances, marketing, and driving key executive decisions to promote growth and success within the Esports Division, and more.

Through my experience, I’ve noticed that the mental and psychological aspects of competition are often overlooked. I believe these elements are crucial, and I want to share what I’ve learned, while continuing to explore this area to make a real difference.

Whether it's through a simple post, a video, or a gaming stream, I hope to shed light on the mental and psychological battles within esports!

P.S. Bakit "Boss Doms"? Well, that's what most of the pro players call me, and let’s just say my real name doesn’t exactly have page-worthy vibes haha :)
