A seminar on Developing Social and Emotional Competencies was conducted by Dr. Abigaile R. Capay, Phd, RPsy last November 26, 2023 at the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation Inc., Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
The caregiver figures of the children are essential people in their lives. Equipping them with the knowledge about social and emotional competencies can aid them in nurturing an environment where children can develop their social and emotional skills.
The project lead expresses their gratitude to Dr. Abi for sharing her knowledge and expertise and to Ma’am Julie Tumulak and the staff of the foundation for their active participation during the seminar.
This project was implemented under the Young Leaders Fellowship program of NYLI and the mini grant challenge of Peace First.

Project Liwa-Liwa conducted its third play-based social and emotional learning session and culmination day last November 25, 2023 at the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation Inc., Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
The Responsible Decision Making session aimed for Children to grasp the concept that life is filled with various challenges and that when they encounter these hurdles, it's crucial for them to pause, assess the situation, generate potential solutions, and opt for the most responsible course of action.
The project lead expresses their gratitude to Ma’am Julie Tumulak for allowing the conduct of this project in their foundation, module developers, creatives, facilitators, and all the sponsors who contributed to the fruitful actualization of this cause.

Project Liwa-Liwa conducted its second play-based social and emotional learning session last November 18, 2023 at the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation Inc., Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
The Social Awareness and Relationship Skills session delved into the social environment of children in alternative care. Having the ability to empathize with others and acknowledge that their situation could be different from others can guide children's social interactions positively.
The project lead expresses their gratitude to Ma’am Julie Tumulak for allowing the conduct of this project in their foundation, module developers, creatives, facilitators, and all the sponsors who contributed to the fruitful actualization of this cause.

Project Liwa-Liwa held its first play-based social and emotional learning session last November 11, 2023 at the Holy Infant Nursery Foundation Inc., Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City.
The Self-Management and Self-Awareness session introduced children in alternative care to be more familiar with their own emotions and learn how to manage these emotions within them.
