The Isabela Fire Station successfully contained a non-structural fire incident at Hacienda Constancia, Brgy. 5, Isabela, Negros Occidental, Region 6. The incident was reported at 05:10PM on January 15, 2024.

Isabela Fire Station, LDRRMO, Binalbagan Fire Station, La Castellana Fire Station, and Hinigaran Fire Station promptly responded to the emergency.

The fire, which primarily affected an agricultural land used for sugarcane plantation, was declared at the 2nd alarm status. The owners of the property, Mr. Paul Monfort and Mr. Jack Nava, reported no casualties or injuries related to the incident.

The Isabela Fire Station, along with the responding units, reached the scene swiftly, arriving at 05:15 PM on the same day. Their coordinated efforts led to the successful extinguishing of the flames, with the fire declared out at 09:40 PM on January 15, 2024.

Fortunately, no residential houses or establishments were affected by the fire, ensuring the safety of the community. The estimated damages to the agricultural land are valued at Php 100,000.00 more or less.

The incident highlights the efficient response and teamwork demonstrated by the firefighting units involved. The Isabela Fire Station assures the public of their continued commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

In preparation for New Year's festivities, BFP6 has been on high alert since December 23, 2023, as part of the Oplan Iwas Paputok campaign. Records from the Office of Fire Safety Enforcement Division, Regional Office BFP6 reveal that 772 local businesses have been issued Fire Safety Inspection Certificates to retailers and distributors as well as firecracker manufacturers, ensuring compliance with safety standards for firecrackers and pyrotechnics.

To enhance safety, the selling and making of these items are confined to specific areas authorized by local authorities. BFP personnel are actively monitoring these zones to enforce safety requirements.

Directed by FCSUPT JERRY D CANDIDO, BFP6 Regional Director, standby firemen are enforcing a strict no-smoking policy, prohibiting the testing of fireworks in designated areas, and preventing potential spark hazards. These measures aim to minimize fire risks and prioritize public safety during the festive season, emphasizing a commitment to community well-being.
