🤔 Did you know? Narra or Pterocarpus indicus is the national tree of the Philippines. 🌳

On June 23, 2022, USLS College of Nursing partnered with Eco Folk to plant 310 Narra Trees at Farmville de Bago.

Thank you for everyone who participated and volunteered for this activity!

With each tree that blooms, we are making the world a better place to live in. 🌎🌱

Be part of our Proyektong Pagsamo: An Appeal for Plastic Waste Consciousness wherein you can donate those plastic bags, parcel bags, plastic bottles, and plastic containers scuttering around your home and have them serve a greater purpose for our community.

You can drop it off in the designated bins at the GATE 2 of the University of St. La Salle from 10 am - 4 pm every day until February 16, 2022.

Mother Earth is only suffering because we allowed her to, in the same way that she will only heal if we make it up to her. The environmental issues we face now are negligence we have brought upon ourselves. The power is and has always been in our hands. As the most intelligent species, we should have known better. The effects of our actions do not only affect us, but all other living species. Right now is all we have. It is time to not only know better, but do better.

Last August 14, Eco Folk partnered up with the Libertad Burgos Central Market Vendors Association (LBCVA) in accordance with their LBCVA President Ernesto Moyani alongside Burgos Public Market President Lyn Delapaz.

A collaborative effort was performed in cleaning the market and promoting the use of eco bags and bayongs. Smiles were seen in everybody’s faces knowing that this one step is the beginning of a plastic-free lifestyle. May this initiative be a start and a reminder that small things are big when done together! 🌍💚

Are you aware that with each load of laundry you wash, there’s probably a little sea creature eating up the tiniest piece of it?

It seems impossible, doesn’t it? The truth is, there are far worse outcomes for the plastic we produce daily, and this is just one of them. As humans, we play a big part in the effects of plastic on the earth. This is why it’s incredibly important that we know how plastic affects the earth, where it ends up after we’re through with it, and what we can do to prevent major problems.

It would take everyone’s effort to even begin reversing the effects plastic waste has already inflicted on the planet, and change all starts within you. Yes, you, and one’s willingness to learn and adapt.

Let’s take it one step at a time and start with knowledge.
