Showing and expressing our sadness through tears is one way for God to embrace us and heal our broken hearts. We have a loving Heavenly Father who is close to us when our hearts are broken and He promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We can put our hope in God knowing that even in moments of sadness, from the beginning until the end, God is with us and He will bring comfort to our aching hearts.

Last Sunday we talked about Joseph being reconciled to His father Jacob and it was a long time while hugging his father resulting in His tears of Joy.

God is so happy when we are made right with Him because that means we get to be with Him forever. He is our perfect Father who wants what is best for us, and the best thing for us is to be in the right relationship with Him.

When we are hurting because of what other people did to us, we can ask God to help us forgive. We trust God that even if we do not see or understand the reason why we are going through times of pain or why people around us bring us to tears, He will give us the grace and strength to heal and eventually, forgive the people who hurt us. We cannot do it on our own. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to help us forgive.

In times when we feel lonely, longing for something we can’t have or feel broken because of someone that we lost or can’t be with, we can be assured that we are never alone because God is with us. The Bible says that God will never leave us nor forsake us and He is Immanuel which means “God is with us.” And God’s presence is more than enough to fill the longing in our hearts.

Hi Kids!

We are starting a brand new series for June and we will be learning the parts of Joseph's life when he cried. Did you know that God created our emotions for Him to understand what we feel and to help us understand that He cares for our feelings. That's why will look at certain moments in the life of Joseph where he cried and we will learn that tears are God's way of helping us through our emotions. See you all this Sunday!

Last Sunday we learned the story of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness found in Luke 1:1-13. The lesson points to Jesus, the devil tried to show Him the easy way out so He would not have to die on the cross. But Jesus loves us so much that even if it was the most difficult thing to do, He resisted temptation so He would be sinless, a worthy sacrifice to pay for our sins.

Hi Kids!

Week 2 of our series is the story of the Baptism of Jesus found in Matthew 3:1-17. Jesus was baptized because He wanted to fulfill all that God required. He identified Himself with us, in our sin, so we can be identified with His righteousness. Jesus did not sin; He is 100% holy because He is God's son. Jesus was baptized even though He had no sin and because of that He is our example.

Also, remember that baptism doesn't erase our sins. It is a sign to publicly show people that we have decided to turn away from our sins and turn to God. Sin can still be tempting us every day but God will help us turn away from it.

Join us again this Sunday as we learn another story from our series Jesus Story Mode.

Jesus' life is an example of how we can honor and obey our parents and we are never too young to be more like Him.

Hi Kids!

Last Sunday we started our new series titled Jesus Story Mode. The story of "Jesus At The Temple" is found in Luke 2:41-52. What teaches us Jesus’ life is an example of how we can live ours and that our obedience to God should be full and complete. In fact, we can never be too young to obey God and we can be obedient to God by honoring and obeying our parents just like how Jesus obeyed and honored His parents. Remember, we can actively look for Jesus by practicing daily reading our bible and spending time in prayer.
