THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
The clearest sign that we truly love God is when we love one another and when we stick to the guidance that God gives us through His Word. As Christians, we are called to be loving towards our brothers and sisters in Christ, because our bond is what strengthens our faith. We are also called to be obedient to the Word of God

PRAYER
Dear God, I ask that in everything I do, may I express the love you have for your children and for the world. Father, I also ask that you help me remain in your path – obedient to your instructions always. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

The one who chooses to keep their mind on God, will continue experience His life in their lives. When we constantly meditate on God’s word, and we communicate with Him daily, it will be evident in our lives. We will find ourselves constantly finding peace and joy, when others are in distress. By staying in the path God has set for us, we are able to access the best He has for us.

PRAYER
Dear God, I thank you that as I focus on you daily, I get to see more your very best in my life. I ask that you will help me stay on this path, Lord. May I never stray or seek worldly idols. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Can or can’t. They are two opposite pathways. They take you to different places. “Can’t” takes you into the territory of doubt, despair and eventually into hopelessness. We can’t, they can’t, soon we are believing that God can’t. Paul knew this. That is why he spent his life encouraging unbelievers to follow Christ and believers to trust Him with their whole life. Today, decide to join Paul. Make your motto, “Through Christ I can.”

PRAYER
Father, help me change my “can’ts” to “cans”. Help me trust in Your strength in doing Your will and not my own. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
God has given us a recipe for life and Peter encourages us to make every effort to include all the ingredients needed. We are to start with faith and add goodness. Next is knowledge, self-control and perseverance. Finally, we add the zest: Godliness, brotherly kindness and love. These eight ingredients combine to give us the kind of life God desires for us. Today, ask God to take these ingredients and help you add them, little by little, to your own life’s recipe.

PRAYER
Father, help me have the faith I need to live for You. With this faith in place, help me add, day by day; goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, Godliness, brotherly kindness and love. I pray this in Jesus' Name, AMEN

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
What a tender thought. Paul was very deliberate in using “Abba Father.” This is a more affectionate term that simply saying “Father.” The real translation of “Abba Father” is “Daddy!” Imagine, God invites us to call Him our affectionate Father, “Daddy.” Paul says that as God’s children, He has given us His Spirit and the job of the Spirit is to help us fall more and more in love with the Father until we can call Him “Daddy.” God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I want to call you “Daddy”. I ask You, Holy Spirit, to speak to my heart, to help me feel the Father’s love, to know the Father’s love. Prompt me, Holy Spirit, to call God, “Dear Father, Dear Daddy.” In Jesus’ name, AMEN

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Expectations have a lot to do with outcomes. What is faith if it is not an expectation that God is going to do what He said He would do? What is hope if it is not an expectation of good things to come? What are you expecting from God? The Bible gives us many reasons to expect great things in our life. We have a great God with a great love for us who has a great plan for our life. This should influence what we expect today.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I say I trust You, but often my expectations betray me. I don’t act as if I believe You really love me. I don’t act as if You are determined to bless me today. Forgive me, Lord. Please help me to live in the expectation of Your love and blessing in my life today and everyday. In Jesus' name, AMEN

Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Paul was concerned about the maturity of the Corinth believers. Paul says that when we are new in Christ we should desire to be spiritually mature. Christians should desire a deeper walk with God. Paul observed that the Corinth church was immature in their Christian walk. Their spiritual growth was stunted. When it came to the things of Christ, they were still an infant. How about you? How is your spiritual maturity? Can you look over the last year and say, “I know I have grown in Christ this year?” There is so much to know and so many areas in which to grow. Pray today that God will help you begin on a healthy spiritual diet so you will grow as a Christian.

PRAYER
Father, I need to grow in You. Help my desire become a reality. Help me study Your word and talk to You in prayer. Help listen to what You say. I desire more of You and Your word. Feed me I pray. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Sins can be of omission as easily of commission. It is not enough to avoid doing wrong things, but we must strive to go out and do those things that are right. When we omit to do anything we know God would have us do, it is a violation of his will for us and is sin.

PRAYER
Lord God, you have a plan for us for life and for each day. Your moral will for us includes both "Thou shalts" and "Thou shalt nots," and we often fail to do both of these. Help us to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of your Spirit, relying on him to use the Word he revealed in Scripture to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey. In Jesus name, AMEN.

There will be days when you are tempted and days when you need protection. But as a child of God, He will never leave you or forsake you – you will never have to walk through these challenging times alone. He is always faithful. He offers his protection and will help you stay away from evil. He has given you his Holy Spirit as a guide. Trust the Spirit to alert you when you have stumbled into trouble and call on him for protection.

PRAYER
Dear God, thank You for You are always faithful and you will never leave me. Help me to trust you to guide me through difficult situations and protect me from any evil the evil one tries to use against me. O Lord, make my faith stronger so that I do not have a spirit of fear. Thank you for rescuing me time and time again. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

It is in God's design of things that children should grow up and leave the home. It is normal that they should go out and begin their own home. For our families to be strong and healthy, unlike the "fractured" if not broken families the world is so full of, husband and wife must remain in close, intimate union. And this union is a picture of the union between Christ and His Church.

PRAYER
God, help us to work at our relationships with others so that they will be all you intend them to be. Let my relationship with you be the foundation for a good relationship with spouse, children, parents, all family and friends, and every acquaintance.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
It is not enough to simply hear God’s word. We must obey the Word and use it as an instructional manual for how we should live our lives. When we follow the Lord’s commands and live as Jesus did, others can tell we are different. This is how others know we are Christ followers – by the way we follow his teachings and put them into practice.

PRAYER
Dear God, help me to put my beliefs into action. Give me opportunities to show others your love by the way I live my life. Thank you, O Lord, for sending us Your Son Jesus and Your word and allow its truth to change our lives. May I abide in you all my days. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
The key to faith is not the faith itself but what the faith is in. We believe in the God of the universe. We have put our faith in Him and His love, wisdom and power. Besides His attributes, we put our faith in His promises. God’s promises are true and we can place our trust in what He says. So what is troubling you today? What are you in need of? Bring it to God. Talk to Him about your needs and desires. Apply God’s promises to your situation and then commit yourself to Him. Step out in faith and trust Him.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your love. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me. Thank You for all Your wonderful and powerful promises. Help me today to put my complete faith and trust in You. Guide and direct me this day. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

21 They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Sometimes we grow weary as believers. Walking the road of faith gets hard. Other times it gets mundane. Sometimes doubt creeps in. We may even allow sin to fester in our lives and lead us to complacency and ceasing to listen to the Holy Spirit. But as believers, we can encourage our brothers and sisters to continue in the faith. Sometimes all someone needs is a reminder, encouragement, and support.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help my brothers and sisters. Give them strength and endurance to continue in the faith You called them to. Place people in their lives to encourage them. Bring them to a deeper love for You. Make them to feel Your presence this day and the days ahead. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

The goodness that God pours out on His children is endless. God delights in showing mercy, giving love, and expressing His goodness. For as long as we are part of God’s children, we will always experience the goodness of God in our lives.

PRAYER
Dear God, I am grateful for your goodness that is always evident in my life. I can never doubt that you are a good God and a loving Father, Lord. May I always be conscious of how good You are. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

When we reach a point of contentment, we are not moved by what another person does or does not have. Contentment prevents us from defining ourselves according to the world’s values. We become content through God, in whom we know we have everything we need. Eternal life, being the most important of it all.

PRAYER
Dear God, I thank you that I can be totally content in you. You have filled all the gaps and voids in my life. I know that I will never find contentment in this world; only in you and you alone. I pray that more and more of your children will come to realize this too, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. AMEN.

THOUGHTS ON TODAY'S VERSE
Our Lord Jesus admonishes each of us to focus on our own sinful situation and remember how He forgave us. When we do, God will bless our heart and give us all the capacity we need to participate in the second part of this passage. That is His desire that we forgive others. God wants us to be ambassadors of His grace. What better way than forgiving someone who has wounded us. Today, as we have been forgiven let us go and forgive others.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your grace and forgiveness. Thank you for not giving up on me. I pray that I might express the same kind of forgiveness to others. In Jesus’ name, AMEN
