Smoking is a traditional way of preserving meats either here in the Philippines or in other countries like Australia, Mexico, Texas and parts of Europe. The flavor also varies on how intense the smoke and the materials used during the process. In such ways, we did produce our own version of smoked meat, giving you an experience of delicate smokey flavor that matches all kinds of food you desire to serve on the table.

back in the old days when plastic containers are not yet introduced, our mothers and grands used to pack lunches using banana leaves. Binalot as they say. In our modern days, we did made variations on the concept of binalot by making the banana leaf as an under liner of the food to be served. below from left is the traditional way and the right is how it is served today.

This dish is called chicken pastil. Shredded chicken meat slow cooked in oil with soy sauce, spices and some aromatics served with salted egg, onions, tomato and greens as a side dish to compliment the flavor of the pastil.

Whenever I go to the market, I always take a side trip at Sayangan eatery located at caldero section to have a breakfast or to ease my hang over. There are variety of food in there but my taste buds automatically pick their kinigtot(which they have their own version) and their pinulpog. @ php. 70.00 why not.? Solved!

just bought this beef mami along kayang street near station 7 police station
they used beef tripe as their main ingredient aside from the noodle of course. loaded with garlic bits, onion leeks and their own chili paste @ only 30.00 php and additional 10.00 php for a boiled egg, why not? sulit na masarap pa

i cooked the egg.
