If you want to use a DITO sim on your phone. You must 1st have a 4G LTE Phone that supports VoLTE (voice over LTE function). The reason is, all DITO cellsites are 4G and 5G.
Other Telco still has 2G,3G and 3.5G cell sites. But DITO doesn't coz they are a new company.

Voice uses 2G,3G.
Data uses 3G,4G and 5G.

One other thing. If your Handset cannot provide VoLTE, don't worry, you can still use your phone using LTE for browsing the Web, download apps, etc.. however you can't use your phone to make phone calls. But let us not forget that Viber, wechat, fb messenger now has VoIP(voice over Internet protocol). So it means that you can still have voice calls using those apps.

4G VoLTE. VoLTE actually stands for Voice Over LTE. What it means is that unlike in 4G LTE, even calls, SMS and web browsing will be served only through data channels. You'll be using your Internet data plan to make calls, send SMS or browse the web all together.
