Successful MOA Signing Ceremony Between Batangas State University TNEU - Pablo Borbon Campus and PNP-Batangas Provincial Police Office!๐ค ๐
On August 8, 2024, Batangas State University TNEU - Pablo Borbon Campus and the Philippine National Police - Batangas Provincial Police Office formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held at the CITE Building, Pablo Borbon Campus.
This significant event marks a crucial step forward in our shared commitment to advancing research, development, and community outreach programs. The MOA was signed by our esteemed Chancellor, Dr. Expedito V. Acorda, and the Acting Provincial Director, PCOL Jacinto R. Moreover, students are now allowed to wear attire that still adheres to the prohibition in Section 10.7 of the Student Handbook. Along with Section 10.1.1which permits the waiving of school uniform during enrollment and midterm classes.

In fidelity to the universityโs adherence to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGโs),you are hereby advised to observe the guidelines on Zero-waste Pablo Borbon, a project ofSustainable Development Office of the campus, starting October 27, 2023.The guidelines are part of a series of initiatives being taken by the university to reduce thegeneration of non-biodegradable waste in the campus.
Every Friday:
1. All Stakeholders in the campus are encouraged to use their own tumbler and lunchbox/bento box in purchasing takeout food in the university canteen. Disposable utensils and containers are prohibited.
2. All Stakeholders should bring their own reusable bags. Sellers are prohibited to use brown bags or other one-time use packaging.
3. Food delivery and take-out food items with disposable utensils and packaging are also prohibited in the campus.
Everyday:
1. In conducting student activities, only reusable stage designs are allowed. One-time use decorations are also prohibited.
2. Tarpaulins, balloons, and other non-biodegradable items are not allowed, except in cases provided in OUP Memo No. 323 s.2023.

The SPARKS Competition (Scholarly Pitches Advancing Research Knowledge towards Sustainability Competition) is a remarkable platform that invites students and researchers from diverse disciplines to engage in a spirited exchange of ideas, innovative concepts, and research proposals aimed at advancing sustainability in line with the theme of national development.
This competition is open to all currently enrolled students of BatstateU Pablo Borbon Campus. Participants can enter individually or as as a team, with a maximum of (5) five members per team. Each college within the campus must submit a minimum of two entries for each of the five predefined themes.
Participants must register online through the official SPARKS Competition website. During registration , participants should specify the chosen theme and provide the names of team members, contact information, and a brief description of the proposed research idea.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Development, and Extension Services, Pablo Borbon, and the Research Office, Pablo Borbon, just held their research activity entitled "POWER: Professionalizing Outputs and Writing Endeavors of Research."
As part of Training 2: Fulfilling the Shortage of Data Processors: Review of Basic and Intermediate Statistics, Dr. Gemar Perez, Head of Research Office PB, imparted his vast knowledge in his presentation with the topic "Basic of Statistics: Data Characteristics to Descriptive Statistics," while Dr. Romer Castillo, Head of the Planning Office Pablo Borbon, made sure that the participants learned in his presentation about Inferential Statistics: Testing of Difference: Parametric and Nonparametric.
Conducting training for research editors and data processors is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and validity of research findings. The request for training from research faculty members highlights the importance of providing data processors with the necessary skills and knowledge to collect, process, and analyze research data effectively.
