"Puhon," a beautiful bisaya word, carries a profound meaning of hope and trust in the future. It encapsulates the belief that what is meant to happen will come to pass in God's perfect time. But it is more meaningful when you're a WORKING SCHOLAR, from long hours of work to late-night study sessions, lies a story of determination, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication for success.

"Puhon, we will reach the finish line."
"Puhon, our dreams will become a reality. "
"Puhon, we will proudly stand as graduates, knowing that our hard work and determination have brought us here."

Inspired by the spirits of Puhon and Padayon, heartfelt congratulations to the following Working Scholars for turning their puhon into reality. Indeed, against all odds, dreams can be pursued, hurdles can be overcome, and success can be achieved.

"None of us is as smart as all of us"
-- KEN BLANCHARD

Coming together helps in achieving a certain goal. Sharing ideas aid in enhancing organizational performance. Today, the Working Scholars Organization successfully held their first General Assembly of the school year 2022-2023. Concerns were being raised, The Organization's rules and regulations, and the significance of workplace etiquette have been highlighted. Indeed, having a solid support system around you allows you to think effectively, push the boundaries of what is possible, and keep your values alive.

Scholars, you demonstrated cooperation, dedication, and teamwork. We hope you will use these three to carry out your obligations. Today you proved that even though the organization has its share of strengths and shortcomings, by combining the strengths of each member, new heights of success can be reached. Similar to how it will be challenging to defeat a team when "unity is strength."

Looking forward to the consistency of your action as we soar high in aiming our vision!

"If we win, we win together and even if we lose, we'll do that together too."
- WSO President, 2022

Nothing can stop leaders with focused eyes and a committed heart from addressing the challenges facing by the organization while embodying a spirit of service and selflessness, even in the midst of heavy rain and strong winds.

WSO Strategic Planning 2022 was held successfully despite the bad weather. Questions and concerns were addressed, as well as updates on the organization's current state and plans for future growth and exemplary service among its members.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Jay Tonette Lepiten, our WSO Coordinator, for helping the officers oversee the lapses and necessary actions to take.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Miraflor Enclonar, the school guidance counselor, for working as our facilitator and for her additional suggestions and evaluations of the organization.

The WSO Officers are ready to claim success as we set out more fun activities for the organization by the end of this school year!

Before this day ends, here are the Working Scholars wishing our coordinator a tons of happiness and blessings on his special day and fruitful year ahead.

A man with principles.
A man with a pure heart who touched everyone's life whether on stage, on screen, or in person.
A man with wit, humor, and the passion to serve and lead others towards the desired success.

For his colleagues, he is Sir Jay, that filled the room with dedication and commitment to quality work. To the students, he's Sir Tonette, whom they fear while engaging in an unnecessary activity. But for us, Working Scholars, he simply serves as our wake-up call to make the most of the chance to learn. Our motivator to conquer the word discipline and listener in the face of unforeseen events.

Happy Birthday Sir! Wishing you all the best that life has to offer and a splendid year ahead.

We appreciate your leadership of the Organization and your efforts to make our workplace a great place to work.

Love,
WSO Family

That's a wrap!

The three-day WSO DRIVE (Disasters Readiness Inculcating Vigilance and Efficiency) training has concluded. However, without the assistance of our All-Powerful God, who sent us with knowledgeable individuals, this would not be possible. The kind of individuals who are supportive, a reliable source of motivation, and who are willing to give their time to offer guidance on the tasks that organizers handle.

Scholars, congratulations on completing the training, but keep in mind that enormous responsibility comes with knowledge. Please do not waste the learning you have acquired from this training. Use this as your advantage to assist your family, your community, your school, and yourself in times of need.

Stay tuned as we gear up for more adventurous and challenging activities!

The WSO DRIVE (Disasters Readiness Inculcating Vigilance and Efficiency) Day 2 went by extremely quickly. We went from floor to floor, interviewed teachers and students, brainstormed ideas, and finally proved that teamwork is effective.

Scholars, you did a tremendous effort today. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder for displaying resilience despite how difficult the task was. For enduring in finishing the task you were given while wearing a determined expression in your eyes.

Indeed, without the perseverance and courage that propel an organization toward the desired result, success is unattainable.

See you tomorrow Scholars!

"Siamo Tutti Fratelli"
(We are all brothers)
- Jean Henri Dunant

The first day of WSO DRIVE (Disasters Readiness Inculcating Vigilance and Efficiency) was full of laughter and learning about the fundamental concept and guiding principles of the Red Cross - which offers assistance in order to prevent and help alleviate human suffering while defending against any threat that may potentially harm one's life. The presenters also never missed an opportunity to discuss the various types of disasters, as well as the necessary preparation, rehabilitation, mitigation, and recovery.

Are you prepared for a challenging task on Day 2 given how thrilling Day 1 was?

THE HARDER THE BATTLE THE SWEETER THE VICTORY.

4 years of hustling.
4 years of managing academic time with working student responsibilities.
4 years of understanding the concept of self-discipline both in the workplace and studying.
4 years of every " Dili na ko kaya" night comes a “Tara, laban pa” morning.

The warmest congratulations to the following Scholars for their tenacity and resilience in the face of adversity. Finally, this is the moment you reap what you sow. Whereas all good things must come to an end, a graduation milestone is only the commencement of something wonderful.

May your cap fly as high as your dreams.
On to the next.

CHECK OUT THESE IMAGES FROM THE WORKING SCHOLARS ORGANIZATION'S GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

It was a day full of questions being answered, concerns being raised, and laughs. Above all, the officers wished for everyone's awareness of all issues and mutual respect as we continue to serve the institution.

Thank you, Mr. Jay Tonette Lepiten, our WSO Coordinator, for continuously reminding us that discipline is the key to progress. Your realizations inspire us to work harder in all of our pursuits.
To the officers: despite the odds, you are doing everything you can to perform your commitments. We hope that nothing changes as we continually strive for the good of the organization.

Working Scholars, you have the right to complain, but you do not have the authority to give up. Our rules and regulations see this as a challenge in improving yourself as it is necessary for success. Life gets harder no matter how many times we persevere, and the road to victory may be the most difficult for us. May you have internalized the 3Gs: GOD, GUTS, and GRIT.

Be proud because not everyone can do what you're capable of doing.

PADAYON!

Believe you can and you're halfway there.
- Benjamin Franklin

The Working Scholars Organization's first activity of the year takes off smoothly. Despite the challenges in our way, we absolutely conquered and made this activity a reality.

The 5s Seminar with the theme " Resilience and Management: Leaping through Innovation, Change and Workplace Ethics" gives everyone the drive to organize, improve, and maintain their workplace, exposing waste and errors and transforming it into a safer, more ergonomic, and efficient environment by introducing management and standard ways of working.

We express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Ryan V. Salvador, the Speaker, for sharing his knowledge and experience with us, which would be useful to our day-to-day operational results.
To Mrs. Miraflor Enclonar, for the guidance and directing us in the correct trajectory for preparing this activity.
Mrs. Daisy Monette Abellon and Mr. Jay Tonette Lepiten for their unwavering support and help to the organization's growth.

Working Scholars, kindly fill the skills and competencies you learned today to good use. May you have the foresight to apply all of the teachings to our job and personal lives. May this day serves as a stepping stone for our actions in fulfilling our responsibilities and obligations. Be persistent as we work together to make real change.
Be excited, as we have a range of learnings planned for all of you!

To God be all the Highest Glory.
