JCP RANCH Camp, A Taste of Adventure

A newbie enthusiast who wants to experience the thrill and wonders of outdoor adventures need not go far. At JCP Ranch Camp, one can be immersed into the excitement that river trekking, mountain climbing, and nature exploration can offer. Beginner or experienced, this place has something new to offer to an adventurer like you!

Mindanao Lakbayers Mountaineering Club, in partnership with Baktas CDO and the officials of Barangay Dalirig, organized an outreach and feeding program for the children of Sitio Abyawan last November 10, 2023. Sitio Abyawan, located in the mountainous terrains of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, is the farthest sitio of Barangay Dalirig. Spearheaded by Mindanao Lakbayers, the visiting team cooked and prepared nutritious meals for almost 250 children and adults. In the spirit of the upcoming Christmas Season, the group also distributed hygiene kits and slippers to the beneficiaries of the activity.
Fun games and a showcase of talents were held during the program.

The event is also supported by the content creators Lakbay Mindanao, Pobre nga Magtiayon, LagawJuan, Mamikol Adventures, and Hibalag Higala and all individuals who supported the cause through financial, material, and non-material help. Capturing Wonders PH is honored to take part in and document this noble initiative.

Pine cones come in various sizes and shapes. They are associated with forests and the holidays. These intricate byproducts are actually reproductive structures of conifer trees, such as pine, spruce, and fir. These contain seeds that are essential for the tree's reproduction.
These forest treasures not only add beauty to the landscape but also play a vital role in reforestation. They replenish forests by spreading seeds, providing habitat for wildlife, and even protecting young trees from hungry herbivores.

Hello, October!

Today, the Philippine mountaineering community mourns the loss of a true legend. We deeply regret to inform you that Manong Noe Rada also known as “Bulod” has passed away.

Mang Bulod is the discoverer of the hidden water source near Mayo’s peak. Mang Bulod is also a part of the original Mt. Guiting Guiting expedition team in the early 1980s.

Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time. Let us honor his legacy by continuing to protect Mt. Guiting Guiting and preserve it for future generations.
