“Knowledge is Power, Educate Our Young One”

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Indahag together with the Barangay Health Center and Kagay-an PLUS – Preserving Life, Uniting Society Inc. will be conducting a 3 in 1 Awareness Campaign (Mental Health Awareness, Early Teenage Pregnancy Awareness, HIV/AIDS/STI Awareness) on November 12, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Barangay Indahag Covered Court. These campaigns' major objectives are to raise awareness about sexual health, and early teenage pregnancy, and to address mental health issues.

We would like to invite the youth of Barangay Indahag to participate in this event. Indeed, we are committed to “Preserving Lives and Uniting Society”.

What's up, mga ka-Tambarangay?

"Tambayan Sa Barangay: Pahuway, Paglingaw, Padayon" program was successfully launched last Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Poblacion, Indahag Covered Court. More than 150 Indahagnon Youth were able to attend the launching of the said program and received Educational Supplies Kit (ABAG Kit). Furthermore, as part of the Project ABAG of Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Indahag and Tambayan sa Barangay, 30 Scientific Calculators were given to the Association of Indahag City Scholars (AICS).

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the following people for making this program a reality:

To Sangguniang Kabataan - Barangay Indahag 2018 , our warmest thank you for being our major sponsor for this program and for your all-out support to the youth of Barangay Indahag.

To Barangay Indahag Council, thank you so much for allowing us to use the Indahag Covered Court as our venue and for providing us with equipment that we were able to utilize during the launching of the program.

Thank you so much City Councilor Suzette Magtajas Daba for the financial support that were able to aid some of our needs po.

Thank you Kuya Kris John Rivera for visiting Tambayan Sa barangay and for giving our Indhagnon Youth words of encouragement.

190 school supplies kits will be given to Senior High School and College students, and 60 school supplies kits will be given to Junior High School students. These kits will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis 😊 So ayaw na pag dugay, be early, and let's have fun together 😍

We all understand that we face problems every day. Family issues, financial difficulties, academic pressure, and a lot of other issues drain and stress us out. Despite all of these difficulties, you are still fighting and making progress. We may not understand our emotions sometimes but please know that whatever you feel is valid. It’s okay not to be okay but don’t forget to take a rest, have fun for a while, and then keep going 😉💙

Join us in the late celebration of World Mental Health Day. We will be launching “Tambayan sa Barangay: Pahuway, Paglingaw, Padayon” program on October 30, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Barangay Indahag Covered Court in partnership with Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Indahag and Association of Indahag City Scholars (AICS).

“Tambayan sa Barangay: Pahuway, Paglingaw, Padayon” program is a youth-led mental health initiative that aims to create a safe space that promotes healthy mental well-being among the young people of Barangay Indahag. It is a once-in-a-month program that consists of kumustahan and a series of extra-curricular activities that allows the youth, particularly students, to take a break/ rest (pahuway) from their personal challenges and problems, as well as from academic stress and pressure. This program also intends to build rapport and strengthen the camaraderie of the young people among the different Sitios in Barangay Indahag. Moreover, this program will give the youth the opportunity to have fun (paglingaw) and showcase their skills and talents through various activities. Lastly, this program aims to encourage youth to participate in activities that will improve their mental health and well-being, as well as to keep going (padayon) despite life's challenges and circumstances.

Together with this program, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Indahag will be giving educational kits to the first 250 Junior High schools, Senior High schools, and College students who will join the program. The educational kit includes 50 pieces A4 size bond paper, 50 pieces letter size bond paper, 50 pieces long size bond paper, 1 yellow pad (intermediate pad for junior high school), and 3 different colored ball pens (black, blue, and red). This is on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will be releasing the guidelines soon.
