To clarify lang po about sa memorandom na napost at myday po sa page namin.

Ang Wednesday po dineclare ng Municipality ng Calatagan na maging Coastal Clean upang mapangalagaan ang ating Sand Bar, kaya po nagbaba ng memo noong November 2022 na bawal pumalaot ang floating cottage para bigyan daan ang isinasagawang Coastal Clean Up tuwing Wednesday.

As of March 15, 2024 nagbaba na po sila ng memo na open na po ng March 27, 2024 Wednesday ang Calatagan Sand Bar. Ito po ay upang mabigyan daan ang mga turistang pupunta sa Mahal na Araw sa Calatagan.

Ngayon March 27 2024 lang po effective and lifted ang WEDNESDAY. After po ng March 27 ay balik na po ulit sa Coastal Clean UP Wednesday. Means walang babyahe ang lahat ng floating cottage raft twing Wednesday po.

Para sa darating na ay ibinaba ang isang Excecutive Order para sa kapakanan ng ating lokal na entrepreneur at mga turista.

Para sa mas detalyadong impormasyon ay maaring basahin ang nasabing Executive order:

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.11 -2024

AN ORDER SUSPENDING SECTION 4.1 OF MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 342-2022
ENTITLED "CALATAGAN BALSAYANIHAN ORDINANCE OF 2022"

WHEREAS, R.A. 7160, Section 16 provides: Every local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary appropriate, or incidental of its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare, # # # enhance the right of the people to a balanced ecology xXX;

WHEREAS, R.A. 7160, Section 17(2)(xi) provides: Local government units shall likewise exercise such other powers and discharge such other functions and responsibilities as are necessary, appropriate, or incidental to efficient and effective provisions of the basic services and facilities enumerated herein. # # # Tourism facilities and other tourist attractions, including the acquisition of equipment, regulation and supervision of business concessions, and security services for such facilities;

WHEREAS, on December 02, 2022, the Sangguniang Bayan Members enacted Municipal Ordinance No. 342-2022 entitled "Calatagan Balsayanihan Ordinance of 2022."

WHEREAS, Section 4.1 of the said ordinance states:

"Section 4. GENERAL PROVISIONS.
1. On every Wednesday of the week, unless otherwise specified, all balsa operations shall be suspended in all and every balsa attraction site;"
WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No. 376-2024 amended the above Section 4.1 which shall now read as:

Section 4. GENERAL PROVISIONS.
1. On every Wednesday of the week, unless otherwise specified through a Executive Order, all balsa operations shall be suspended in all and every balsa attraction site; *

WHEREAS, in observance and anticipation of the Holy Week holidays, the suspension of balsa operation as provided in Section 4.1 of Municipal Ordinance No. 376-2024 is lifted. Hence, balsa operations on every attraction site will be allowed on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 to give way to our visitors and locals to enjoy the Calatagan Sandbars.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PETER OLIVER M. PALACIO, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Calatagan, Province of Batangas, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare that all balsa operations will be allowed on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.

Done this 15th day of March, 2024 at Calatagan, Batangas.
