The long wait is over! Sports Activities are finally back!

After complying with the CHED Memorandum Order, Series of 2022 entitled Guidelines on the Implementation of Return to Collegiate Athletic Competitions (R-CAC) during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Sports Development Program under Student Affairs and Services have prepared an Institutional Sports Fest with the theme, "Return to Sports, Return to Health."

The official schedule of the Sports Fest is December 1-3, 2022, from Thursday to Friday.

This event is supported and approved by Fr. Prisco A. Cajes, OFM, Th.D, our College President, and our dear City Mayor, Hon. Mayor Raymund C. Uy.

HELLO CHRISTI REGIANS!
Sports Activities are finally back!

In line with the CHED Memorandum Order, Series of 2022 entitled Guidelines on the Implementation of Return to Collegiate Athletic Competitions (R-CAC) during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Sports Development Program will be having tryouts and pieces of training for sports competitions in preparation for the upcoming Cluster Meet on October 14-15, 2022 and will be held at Our Lady of Mercy College, Boronggan City, Eastern Samar.

The tryouts will start today from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM for the senior high students only. The tryouts for the college students will start tomorrow.

The complete schedule of the tryouts and pieces of training will be posted soon together with the list of sports competitions, coaches, and other important details of the activity

ENTRY GUIDELINES:
1. All works must be original in composition and concept and executed solely by the artist. Pieces deemed not original to the artist will be disqualified.

2. Inappropriate subject matter is not acceptable. The BISWAL Calbayog Execom reserves the right to determine acceptability.

3. Framing requirements will not apply to the competition.

4. Ten (10) Finalists will be chosen from the entries and only three (3) winners shall be declared by the judges.

5. The three (3) Winning Entries shall be the property of the City Arts and Culture Office.

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Open to all Calbayognons from 12-35 years old

2. Who has not held a solo art exhibit

3. Member of the Board of Judges/BISWAL Calbayog Execom and their immediate families are disqualified to join the competition.

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
1. All entries must be submitted to the City Arts and Culture Office properly labelled with the full name of the entrant on or before November 30, 2021.

2. No signature or any other identifying marks shall be placed on the artwork.

3. All entries must use the Official Entry Form of the competition duly filled out and signed thereof by the entrant.

The Study in Musical Theater and Music Composition classes of Joed Balsamo will present Viva Musica Episode 1: The Librettists. They are: Dennis Marasigan, George de Jesus III, Layeta Bucoy, Liza Magtoto, and Paul Alexander Morales.

With support from National Commission for Culture and the Arts, this round-table discussion will focus on the art of writing libretto for musicals, operas, zarzuelas, and dance/ballet - whether original or adaptation.

Audio-Video Recording:

1. The AV recording must comply the following:
a. Venue must be closed. It must be free from any unnecessary noise but properly illuminated.
b. Background music, special audio and video effects are allowed.
c. The performer must be the only person who will be seen in the video.
d. Recording must be conducted without an audience.
e. The contestant is expected to submit the Video Entry to these email address: [email protected] and [email protected], on December 10, 2020.

General Guidelines:
1. The theme of the performance is anything about “COVID-19 Pandemic”.
2. The contestant may perform any famous scripts or may use his/her own composition.
3. The contest piece may be English, Filipino, Taglish or Waray-waray.
4. The presentation, including costume and choreography is left to the discretion of the performers based on their own interpretation of their contest piece.
5. Maximum performance duration per contestant is Ten (10) minutes. Point penalties shall be subtracted from a non-compliant contestant’s raw score per judge as follows:
a. More than thirty (30) seconds over time allotted – 1 point
b. One (1) to two (2) minutes over time allotted – 2 points
c. More than two (2) minutes over time allotted – 3 points

7. Since we promote standard protocols in COVID-19 prevention and protection, practice social distancing and wearing of protective equipment such as face mask and face shields during rehearsals. Practicing at home is fully encouraged.

g. The contestant and the artwork must be within the video frame at all times.

General Guidelines:

1. The theme of the artwork is “Christmas during COVID-19 Pandemic”
2. Maximum duration in making the artwork is thirty (30) minutes. Point penalties shall be subtracted from a non-compliant contestant’s raw score per judge as follows:

b. One (1) to two (2) minutes over time allotted – 2 points
c. More than two (2) minutes over time allotted – 3 points

CKC Got talent is a creativity contest where each student of the school has the opportunity to show his/her unique skills and talent. It is hosted by Culture and Arts Program under the Student Affairs and Services.

The program has the following objectives:

1. Provide a platform to showcase the amazing talents and skills of our student body.
2. Gives student range of choices which help them in pin pointing what they are passionate about.
3. For the students to feel appreciated and acknowledged which will develop their confidence and self-esteem.

General Guidelines:

1. The contest is open to all college students from 1st year to 4th year who are enrolled in Christ the King College this academic year 2020-2021.
2. The contest is open to any type of act; singing, dancing of any genre, playing musical instruments(s), performing skits, magic tricks, spoken poetry, stand-up comedy, juggling, and specialist acts of any nature. If you think you got talent, then bring it on!
3. Performers maybe solo, duets or group. If joining as a group, a maximum of ten (10) members shall be allowed. Members of the group must belong to the same barangay or city.
4. Each contestant will only have one (1) entry.
5. Joining another group is NOT allowed.
6. The theme of the presentation, including costume and choreography is left to the discretion of the performers based on their chosen act or piece.
7. Profanity, insensitive subjects, using of daring costumes, dangerous props and stunts are NOT permitted.
8. Acts are responsible for their own props and costumes.
9. Submit a video recording of the performance on December 12,2020
10. Maximum performance duration per contestant is ten (10) minutes. Point penalties shall be subtracted from a non-compliant contestant’s raw score per judge as follows:
