CalNatScians, bukas na ang 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill o NSED 2023. Alam mo na bang ang iyong gagawin bukas? Well, don't worry 'cause we got your back! Here are some important reminders on what you should do during the drill:

1. Prepare your hard hats and make sure it is still in good condition.
2. Have a whistle and flashlight attached in your school ID. Your BERT Officers will check if you have them.
3. When you hear the bell ringing at 2 PM, do duck, cover, and hold immediately.
4. After the bell stopped, evacuate immediately and follow the lead of your teacher and BERT Officers (only if the weather condition is good; otherwise stay at your classroom).
5. Refrain from talking or chitchatting with each other during the drill.
6. Do head counts as soon as you make your line at the evacuation site.
7. Never leave the appliances unattended when you evacuate.
8. When you evacuate, leave your room quickly without running.

1. Please come 15 minutes before the event.
2. Bring your own snack and water.
3. Bring pen and paper for note-taking (as there will be a 10-item combination of multiple choices and identification).
4. Bring triangular bandage (if you have)

In prospering resiliency of school and community against disasters, Batang Emergency Response Team observes National Disaster Resilience Month 2023 through a week-long online campaign. Let this be a reminder of teaching ourselves, friends, relatives, and people around us to be ready, prepared, and most importantly, resilient when there is a disaster.

LOOK: Caloocan National Science and Technology High School participated in the First Quarter of National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2023 today, March 9, 2023 at 2 PM, in the school covered court and classrooms.

A one-minute bell was heard over the school premises that signals the earthquake drill. Students, teachers, and other school personnel performed duck, cover, and hold. BERT officers of each class assisted the conduct of the said activity.

With only 1 day to go, we're getting real close to the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill!

As the BERT Club wants you to be prepared, we arranged a mnemonic (AREAA) for you to recall and protect yourselves before, during, and after an earthquake.

🚨 AREAA or can be easily pronounced as "Are-yuUuh" indicates Alarm, React, Evacuate, Assemble, and Assess.

Remember, being prepared for an earthquake is key to ensuring your safety and that of your loved ones. Practice protecting yourselves like a pro, CalNatScians! 🫂

Tama, three days na lang before ang First Quarter NSED o ang First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill for 2023! Ngayon ang tanong is alam mo na ba? Hmmm? 🤔

Alam mo na ba kung ano ang dapat gawin before, during, at after ng lindol 😨? Kung hindi pa, narito ang mga maaari niyong gawin before, during, and after an earthquake 📝.

Tandaan that a person who is always ready for any disaster, can keep themselves and others safe. Kaya, be prepared CalNatScians! 🫡

Wushu is a Chinese martial art that is commonly used for self-defense and healthy living. At BERT Club, we also have wushu — but for fire prevention!

BERT Club of CNSTHS devised an acronym (WUSHU) to easily remember the preventive measures you can use to prevent fire from occuring.

🔴 Watch out for fire.
Be vigilant in your environment. As soon as you see that a danger is coming, act quick!

🟠 Unplug unused appliances.
It is necessary for us to unplug any appliances that is not currently in use. There are reported cases of leaving appliances unattended can cause electrical malfunction. This electrical malfunction drives the fire on.

🟡 Segregate flammable materials.
Isolate materials away from sources of flame to reduce the likelihood of catching a fire.

🟢 Halt electrical overloading.
Do not load too much appliances that exceeds the maximum load that the circuit can take. Such overloading creates too much heat and can cause fire.

🔵 Use fire drill and evacuation plan.
Be prepared. You should know what to do when there is a fire. It is important that you participate in the conduct of fire drills in your community and know where will you evacuate when the disaster occurred. This is your opportunity to train yourself in responding to fire incidents.

Prepare. Prevent. Protect. Together, we can be safe from fire.

March is designated for the observance of Fire Prevention Month with a theme, "Sa Pag-Iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa." This month also marks the start of hot dry season in the Philippines, where most fire cases occur. May we remind everyone to take precautionary measures against possible causes of fire to prevent harming ourselves, our family, and our community. Remember that a little ignition could turn out into a monstrous blaze.
