The facial nerve is the 7th cranial nerve that controls facial movement and expression, is involved in taste to the anterior 2/3 of the tongue, in producing tears, and moderating our sensitivity to noise volume. It enters the parotid gland, and branches into 5 main divisions as seen in the image. Each of these branches provides input to an individual's facial expressions.

Easy to remember! If you have a car, just think that a zebra bumped it!

The lumbosacral plexus is a network of nerves derived from lumbar and sacral nerve roots. It supplies the motor and sensory functions of the ipsilateral lower limb and pelvis. Problems or injury to lumbosacral plexus can occur at the pelvic level that damages the roots or nerves. Some can be due to birth defects, trauma or lumbosacral neuropathy.

Damage to the brachial plexus is characterized by weakness, loss of feeling, and/or movement in the shoulder, arm, and hand. This network of intertwined nerves begins at the neck and crosses the upper chest to the armpit downward. Injuries to the brachial plexus may heal without treatment or may necessitate surgery, depending on the severity of the nerve damage.

This can be quite challenging to memorize, but it's worth it. Time to work your photographic memory out!

To all aspiring RPT's! This is to clarify our previous post regarding the TOEFL requirement for the 2022 NPTE.

FSBPT responded to our email in the hope of clarifying this information. Attached is their response.

This is to confirm that TOEFL will not be implemented on January 1, 2022. However, please note that FSBPT requirements are different from State requirements.
