CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- The Iligan City Police Station 5 (ICPS-5), in coordination with CDEU-ICPO, ICMFC, RIU 10, and PDEA -Iligan-Lanao del Norte, successfully seized approximately PhP8.8 million worth of shabu during the implementation of a warrant of arrest in Purok 3 GK Mission Ville, Canaway, Brgy. Tibanga, Iligan City on August 28, 2024..

The operation led to the arrest of alias "Loloy Malubay," a 36-year-old resident of the said area. Malubay is listed as the Top 4 Most Wanted Person at the city level and the Top 2 in the regional PNP-PDEA watchlist.

The accused was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 24-29841 dated August 28, 2024, with a bail bond amounting to PhP120,000.00.

During the operation, Malubay ran toward his room where operatives followed him and inadvertently discovered several transparent plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu in the floor. The recovered items include one large-sized open transparent plastic bag, one medium-sized open transparent plastic container bag, one medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic bag, one small-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic bag, four forceps, two boobing, and two digital weighing scales.

The illegal drugs recovered weigh more or less 1.3 kilograms, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP8,840,000.00.

Information also revealed that the accused was previously arrested in 2016 for violating R.A. No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully apprehended a total of 215 individuals during its weeklong law enforcement operation from August 22 to 28, 2024.

The operation targeted various illegal activities including the campaigns against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and others.

In anti-illegal drugs campaign, PRO10 conducted 87 operations, resulting in the apprehension of 102 individuals and confiscation of 1,548.647 grams of shabu and 1.1 grams of ma*****na with a total Standard Drug Price of PhP10,530,931.60.

In anti-illegal gambling, this PRO conducted 11 operations, resulting in the apprehension of 22 individuals and confiscation of PhP4,740.00 worth of illegal gambling items.

Moreover, in neutralizing wanted person, PRO10 arrested a total of 84 wanted individuals which comprised of 22 Most Wanted Persons and 62 Other Wanted Persons.

In the battle against loose fi****ms (Kontra Boga), PRO10 conducted 24 positive operations, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals and the confiscation/surrender/recovery of 39 small arms and three light weapons. Approximately 379 house visitations for Revitalized Katok (Bilang Boga) were conducted, resulting in the voluntary surrender of 12 fi****ms for safekeeping.

PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regional Director, PRO10, commended the men and women of PRO10 for a job well done.

“Let us remain steadfast, fair, and just in all our actions. The fight against criminality is a collective effort, and with your support, we are confident that we can achieve lasting peace in our region,” he said.

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, together with the City Intelligence Unit (CIU), successfully seized approximately PhP1.1 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on August 30, 2024, in District 2, Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City.

The operation led to the arrest of alias “Gilbert,” a 28-year-old high-value individual residing in the said area. Records show that the suspect was previously apprehended in 2019 for violating R.A. No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. It is alleged that he sourced his illegal drugs from Maguing, Lanao del Sur, and distributed them within Cagayan de Oro City.

Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation include 17 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 170 grams, with a Standard Drug Price of PhP1,156,000.00, a digital weighing scale, and a PhP1,000.00 bill used as buy-bust money.

The suspect is now under the custody of CDEU-COCPO for proper disposition while confiscated drug items will be brought to RFU 10 for qualitative and quantitative examination.

In his statement, PBGEN RICARDO G. LAYUG JR., Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operatives for their successful operation.

“This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to eliminating the drug menace in Northern Mindanao. We will continue to intensify our efforts, in close coordination with the PDEA and other law enforcement agencies, to ensure that those involved in the illegal drug trade are brought to justice,” he said.

He further emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating illegal drugs, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. # # #

On September 2, 2024, at about 11:10 in the morning, Clarin MPS personnel under the supervision of PMAJ ALVIN M TAMAYO, OIC; conducted daily Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) on Station Defense Drill at Clarin MPS to familiarize the sectoring of fire and ensure the preparedness of personnel to any surprise/unexpected attack of the enemy.
