The Consolacion Hope Warriors recently hosted Module 2 of the Hope Warriors Training. It is a three-day training session actively participated by the youthful and energetic SK Councilors representing the different barangays of the Municipality of Consolacion.

The training tackling about Drug Awareness and Prevention emphasized their enthusiasm and commitment to learning the program, which they’ll eventually be able to share and apply towards their respective barangay activities.

In celebration of Pride Month 2024, the Consolacion LGBTQIA+ Organization & Support invited our mental health professionals from the Paglaum Mental Health Support Group, Mr. Abelardo Banuag, M.A., RPsy, RPm (Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Psychometrician), and Ms. Princes Ann O. Coraraton, RPm (Licensed Psychometrician), as resource speakers on the topic "LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Education."

The talk was attended by all the members of the organization from different barangays in the municipality.

The Consolacion Municipal Police Station (Consolacion MPS) under the leadership of PLTCOL Ruel L. Burlat, Officer-in-Charge, was the first organization in the municipality to request the services of the Paglaum Mental Health Support Group last Tuesday. The session was led by Mr. Abelardo Banuag, M.A., RPsy, RPm, our licensed clinical psychologist and psychometrician.

Meet the first batch of Consolacion Hope Warriors, who participated in the three-day Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Training and Workshop last December 2023. These dedicated student government officers come from different junior and senior high schools in the Municipality of Consolacion.

Currently, they are actively involved in supporting the Paglaum Mental Health Support Group and other initiatives under the Consolacion Mental Health Program.

"Adunay Paglaum" was the main message at the launch of Consolacion Mental Health Program's new initiative, the Paglaum Mental Health Support Group, held last Tuesday, June 11, 2024. This support group offers a safe space for wounded people experiencing distress, anxiety, or depression, providing them with an opportunity to share personal experiences, feelings, and coping strategies.

The launch was led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Teresa P. Alegado, together with Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Shella A. Carpina, Dr. Eleanor Fe Pardillo (Municipal Health Officer), Dr. Marie Angelique B. Cuizon (Assistant Municipal Health Officer), Mr. Alvin Duazo (Public Information Officer, Executive Secretary) and Mr. Abelardo Banuag, M.A., RPsy, RPm, founder of the Paglaum Mental Health Support Group & Consolacion Hope Warriors.

Guests included representatives from the Department of Health Region 7, Mr. Prince Irl M. Ronquillo, Ms. Jan Vinhery Taboada, Dr. Glenn G. Glarino, RPsy, ICAP II, Ph.D., from the University of San Carlos, licensed clinical psychologists Mr. Marc Clint Maceda, M.A., RPsy, RPm, and Mrs. Patricia Monique P. Publico and the social media influencer Ms. Gabe Boyose.

Following the launch, the mental health support group sessions and individual therapy sessions kicked off immediately. These sessions will continue every Tuesday from 5PM to 6PM at the MADAC Consolacion session hall.
