MBHTE ICT Basic Education Sector

WASH in Schools (WinS) Program. WASH stands for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, a national program of DepEd has expanded its version for inclusivity in the Ministry that includes Madaris to ensure that the security and welfare of our learners in terms of health and wellness are protected.

A 2-day activity was recently concluded to narrate WinS Program in the Division (SDO) Education Development Plan and to present the System to the IT Officers of the Region for further refurbishment on its architectural design on people, process and technology.

This activity is considered another milestone for the ICT Unit of the Basic Education Directorate to assist in providing appropriate technology innovation to contribute in the realization of the ministry's mantra "No Bangsamoro Child Left Behind".

This enhanced WinS Online Monitoring System was developed & conducted by the UNICEF.

The Bangsamoro Education Code (BEC) aims to serve as an embodiment of our collective vision of Inclusivity, Equity, Rights-based, Rooted in Content, Integrated, Balanced, and hold Moral Governance for the educational system of the Bangsamoro region.

It can be recalled that after an eight-hour deliberation during a special session held last May 18, 2021, the Education Code has been unanimously passed into law by 80 members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.

The Education Code shall provide an educational framework that is relevant and responsive to the needs, ideals, and aspirations of the Bangsamoro people which shall conform to the minimum standards set by the National Government.

The Act shall apply to and govern formal, non-formal, public and private, vocational, technical, special education, and Madaris educational systems in all levels both public and private learning institutions for basic, higher, and technical education
