Dr. Debra Dawn Occena Sablada graduated from the UP College of Dentistry, Manila, Philippines. She is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons & a Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education (ICCDE) .

Dr. Debbie, as most of her patients fondly call her, has a Full time Hospital Based Practice in Davao Doctors Hospital, and is a Consultant specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in six other hospitals/surgery centers within her locality in Mindanao. Her practice focus is on Oral Surgery, Dental Implants and Bone/Tissue Regeneration, and Special Needs dentistry (i.e. Cancer patients, those Medically compromised & needing more detailed care, Organ Transplant patients, and such!)

She is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau of the Philippine Dental Association since 2016, Coordinator for Mindanao and Senior Lecturer of the Academy for Research and Clinical Dentistry. Member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), IATP (International Association of Tongue Tie Professionals) & is an Arugaan trained Peer Lactation Counsellor and Breastfeeding Advocate.

Dr. Occena Sablada is a proud, 3rd Generation Dabawenya and Mindanaoan. Wife to her beloved hubby of nearly 22 years, and a Mama of 2 amazing, wonderful girls… In her alternate multiverses, she is a Photographer, Cat Lover, Narcoleptic, & Persistent Happy Polymath .

Our dear patient, himself a dentist, always dreaded previous procedures involving taking impressions of his mouth because he was a gagger. Today we again used an intraoral scanner to take his digital impressions and record his bite. Accurate, storable records for future reference, efficient!

After 2 hours, Perfect Fit CadCam Solutions sent me the digital plan for my case — a screw retained zirconia implant crown and a zirconia crown for the adjacent tooth. Reviewed the plan, requested minor adjustments, sent back to me for approval, and voila- Proceed to Mill…
