A lot of offended people find purpose in proving themselves and hurting others. Their responses could be dangerous. Either they try to manipulate people to believe their story or they fabricate stories that would destroy the reputation of those who caused them pain. Either way, it's a fruit of an offended heart. The good news is there's a better response. There is always a better way. That way is Jesus. Because of Jesus, we received grace and forgiveness. In Jesus, we are loved and secured. No longer are we defined by what people say. Because of Jesus, we can forgive those who have offended us. Offended people offend people. Hurt people hurt people. In the same way, forgiven people forgive people. Choose to forgive today.

Hebrews 12:15 "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."
