"Empowering Youth Through Skills Training

Magsaysay, Davao del Sur - In a collaborative effort to empower the youth and promote community development, the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (R-PSB) led by PLT Zerxes Von Wycliffe D Famor under the supervision of PLTCOL Darwin E Taypin, 2nd DSPMFC Force Commander alongside with Mr. Antero N. Alejandro of TESDA Region XI, and Hon. Rogelio Macion, Punong Barangay, spearheaded the distribution of training certificates and starter toolkits to 15 students who completed the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I which aims to provide skills training to out-of-school youth, unemployed adults, and workers which serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment and community development.

The distribution of training certificates signifies the successful completion of the SMAW Course, validating the participants' proficiency in welding techniques and safety protocols. Additionally, each participant received a starter toolkit, including essential equipment such as welding machine from TESDA.

Mr. Antero N. Alejandro of TESDA Region XI emphasized the importance of skill acquisition in unlocking opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. Further, Hon. Rogelio Macion, Punong Barangay was also, extended his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making the event a success.

This activity serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication of all stakeholders in promoting skills development and socio-economic empowerment in Barangay Maibo and beyond.

Matanao, Davao del Sur - The Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay, led by PMSg Alfie O Ornita under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Darwin E Taypin, Force Commander of the 2nd DSPMFC, played a pivotal role in the blessing and turnover ceremony of the newly constructed school building daycare center and rural electrification projects in Sitio Project, Barangay Cabasagan, Matanao, Davao del Sur

The event, marked a significant milestone in the Support Barangay Development Project (SBDP), was attended by esteemed guests including Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Irick C Agbon, Municipal Administrator Hon. Hector Siao, Phillen C Larrabaster from LGMED DILG XI, Rosemarie Villaver from LGMED Staff, Mary Grace Santos from MLGOO, and representatives from the Davao Sur Police Provincial Office and Bravo Coy 39IB. Barangay Officials led by Hon. Rogelio P Oling and Barangay functionaries were also present to witness the ceremony.

The construction of the School Building Daycare Center commenced on June 8, 2023, and was completed on December 4, 2023, with a contract cost of Php 2,498,776.86. This facility will serve as a vital educational resource for the community, providing a conducive learning environment for children in Barangay Cabasagan.

Similarly, the Rural Electrification project, which began on June 8, 2023, and concluded on July 4, 2023, with a contract cost of Php 1,494,936.44, will enhance the quality of life for residents by providing access to reliable electricity.

The blessing and turnover ceremony of the school building daycare center and rural electrification projects signify a significant step towards holistic community development in Barangay Cabasagan, Matanao, Davao del Sur.

Matanao, Davao del Sur -In a collaborative effort spearheaded by PSMS Joeji L Cababat, Team Leader, and under the supervision of PLTCOL DARWIN E TAYPIN, Force Commander of 2nd DSPMFC, the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (RPSB) proudly conducted a momentous Turnover Ceremony of Blood Pressure Medical Equipment as part of a Quick Impact Project held at Asbang Health Center, situated in Brgy. Asbang, Matanao, Davao del Sur.

The event witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed members of the Barangay Council, dedicated Barangay Health Workers, and concerned constituents alike. Commencing with an invocation, the program proceeded with opening remarks delivered by PSMS Cababat, Team Leader Cluster 4. The Punong Barangay, Hon. Elizar N. Digos City -On April 3, 2024, at about 2:30 PM, the personnel of R-PSB Cluster 3, led by PMSg Arjay A Bravo, under the direct supervision of PMAJ RICHEEN M LAGNAYO, Officer in Charge of 1st DSPMFC, along with PMAJ CRISALDO R GAILA, Acting Chief, PCADU, joyfully facilitated the turnover of a Shelter Charity to the deserving Catampo Family. This heartwarming event took place at Brgy. Kapatagan in Digos City, Davao del Sur.

The initiative, conceived as a Quick Impact Project, embodies the commitment of the Philippine National Police to uplift communities by addressing their most pressing needs. The provision of a safe and conducive home for the Catampo Family stands as a testament to this dedication.

In the face of challenging weather conditions, this Shelter Charity ensures that the Catampo Family can now pursue in their daily activities without hindrance, fostering a sense of security and stability in their lives.

Provision of Fundamental Services/Quick Impact Project through Solar Street Light Installation

Digos City- April 7, 2024, around 9:00 AM, R-PSB Cluster 2 personnel, spearheaded by PSMS Jeruin O Alfanta and supervised by PMAJ RICHEEN MATES LAGNAYO, the Officer in Charge of the 1st DSPMFC, collaborated with the Davao Sur Police Provincial Office, led by PCOL GIUSSEPPE A GERALDE. They conducted a Solar Street Light installation in Brgy. Goma, Digos City, with the help of the local residents. Solar Light No. 1 was set up in Cagas-Latasa Village, Sitio Napan, Goma, Digos City.

The installation was participated by GOMATODA 1 President Rosalio Sanchez, Sk Chairman Michael Angelo E Cabanas, and residents of the village. Approximately 50 households will benefit from this Solar Light. Solar Light No. 2 was installed at the Tribal Village in Brgy. Goma, Digos City. Brgy. Kgwd Ricky Awo, Sk Chairman Michael Angelo Cabanas, and around 50 households participated in the installation and will also benefit from it.

The goal of this operation is to provide basic essential services to the community, particularly lighting, which is especially beneficial during the night for their free movement and necessary activities.

ONE-DAY BARANGAY TANOD CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT SEMINAR AND DISTRIBUTION OF ESSENTIAL PATROL EQUIPMENT

Sta. Cruz- R-PSB Cluster 2 facilitated the conduct of a One-Day Barangay Tanod Enhancement Capacity Seminar and the Distribution of Essential Patrol Equipment. The event was attended by Barangay Tanods from Barangay Coronon and Barangay Astorga in Sta. Cruz, held at Barangay Coronon. The activity commenced with a short program, highlighting the message from PLT CARL JOHNWYNE L LINGCORAN, Team Leader of R-PSB Cluster, who conveyed the purpose and overview of the activity which aimed at enhancing the skills and familiarizing the Barangay Tanods with salient laws and legal procedures in the performance of their duties. Hon. Jemer P. Ramos, Punong Barangay of Barangay Coronon, and Hon. Alexis C. Almendras, Punong Barangay of Barangay Astorga represented by Hon. Joventino Enriquez Jr., expressed their gratitude to R-PSB Cluster 2 for facilitating the event.

Following the messages, the distribution of essential patrol equipment took place. Both Barangays received 10 baton sticks, 5 pieces of handcuffs, and 10 flashlights each. Subsequently, the lecture sessions commenced with the following topics:

a. Arrest, Search & Seizure, Basic Investigative Report Writing & Note Taking, and Katarungang Pambarangay Cases discussed by PSSg Rolly C. Conat;

b. Salient provisions of R.A. 4136, Handcuffing Techniques & Defensive Tactics discussed and demonstrated by PMSg Dave Renan M Maranga. Practical exercises in handcuffing techniques were also conducted;

c. Salient Protocols on Handling CICL & CAR and salient provisions of R.A. 11313 or Bawal Bastos Law discussed by PSSg Antoniette L Razonable.

The activity concluded with the giving of Certificates of Appreciation to the Punong Barangays and the Local Government Unit of the mentioned barangays, as well as the giving of Certificates of Participation for the attending Barangay Tanods.

"Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan collaborates in Environmental Mission"

Matanao, Davao del Sur —The Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay, together with the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation (SKMF), led by Hon. Justin Siao, Provincial Federation President, and Hon. Realyn Mabangis, SKMF Matanao SB Member, joined forces in a meaningful tree planting activity held at Sitio Talambato, Barangay Asbang, Matanao, Davao del Sur.

The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Hon. Irick Agbon, Vice Mayor of LGU Matanao, Rufino Verez, PO Chairman of B'laan Farmer's Association, and thirty-three (33) SK Chairpersons, marked a significant step towards environmental conservation and community engagement.

With a collective effort, more than one hundred (100) seedlings of Narra were successfully planted, enriching the local ecosystem and contributing to the area's greenery. The participants, representing various sectors of the community, showcased their commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

The planted Narra seedlings will not only contribute to increased forest cover and improved air quality, but they will also provide long-term economic benefits for the community. Narra trees are known for their valuable timber, which can be used for various construction and furniture purposes. "Community Development Initiative: Pulis sa Barangay Presents Day Care Center Renovation Proposal at Advisory Meeting"

Bansalan, Davao del Sur – The Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay, led by Police Master Sergeant Arjay A Bravo operating under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Darwin E Taypin, Force Commander of the 2nd DSPMFC, actively participated in the Municipal Advisory Group Meeting held at the Bansalan MPS Conference room, gathered key stakeholders committed to community development, including Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Kim B Aquino, DPDO, Police Captain Orlando C Udalue, OIC of Bansalan MPS, and Samuel Lakay Gadingan, Municipal Vice-Mayor.
Chaired by Prof. Flor Jasmin Orge Cabaral, the Advisory Group meeting provided a platform for collaborative discussions aimed at addressing community needs and fostering sustainable growth in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. During the session, R-PSB Cluster 4, had the opportunity to present a Project Proposal for the Renovation of the Day Care Center. Kiblawan, Davao del Sur - In a remarkable demonstration of community partnership and sustainable development, the revitalized Pulis sa Barangay, under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Francis Mark M. Getigan and the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Darwin E. Taypin, Force Commander of the 2nd Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd DSPMFC), collaborated with Barangay Officials of Bulol-Salo, led by Honorable Toto Bague, Punong Barangay, to facilitate a significant turnover of coconut seedlings.

Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay Instills Financial Literacy Among Youth in Barangay Bulol-Salo,

Kiblawan, Davao del Sur - In a proactive initiative led by PLT FRANCIS MARK M GETIGAN and under the supervision of PLTCOL DARWIN E TAYPIN, Force Commander of the 2nd Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd DSPMFC) took a significant step towards community development. This commendable effort involved a Reading Tutorial and a lecture on financial literacy conducted for the children of Barangay Bulol-Salo, KIblawan, Davao del Sur.

The event focused on imparting essential knowledge on financial management and savings habits to the young residents of the said place aims to instill the value of financial responsibility, foster a sense of financial security, and encourage habits that will contribute to a more economically empowered future for the children.

The reading tutorial component of the event showcased the Pulis sa Barangay's commitment to enforcing the law and actively contributing to the holistic development of the community. The officers engaged the children in interactive sessions, creating an environment that encouraged learning and participation.

Further, the R-PSB team thanked the local community for their active participation and support in making this initiative successful.
